Hope it's not as nervy than that last League Cup game at Meadowbank, where we were two down early into the first half, managed to equalise by half-time, and eventually, eventually, won four-two.

They are a lot better than they were in 2016. Banana Skin??

I'm quite confident of a decent result and I really hope that we take this seriously.

3 weeks is such a long time when you've just played your best half of football for a couple of years however it should mean that resting players is not required.

Home advantage to a lower league team in the cup. What could go wrong :) City are challenging for promotion but had a poor game last saturday by all accounts and lost 2 - 1 to Queens park. No artificial surface advantage as City are playing home games at Spartans on their artifical surface while meadowbank is refurbished. We have had 3 weeks break should have a more or less full squad to choose from less Stubbs. I assume Hamilton will start in his place? I’m also assuming Southwood will be back. No excuses Accies please just go out and win.

Finally a decent win against a wee diddy team

When was last time Accies scored 5 ?

All we can hope for now is another home tie against lower league. This year it could be us

This as comprehensive a victory I've seen from an Accies team in many a year. I dont care about the quality of the opposition as when we are the big team we usually make a pigs ear of it. Still not sure about Fjortoft and lets be honest our defence had little to do but what he did have to do was competent enough. The new signing Dales had a good debut, unlucky not to have 2 goals to his name and put himself about a bit. Great to see Winter come on and score a well taken goal. Lots of positive perfromances all round. Down side mcgowan going off injured hopefully not a reaccurence and Mcmann getting substituted if he was injured as that could be both left and right backs out. Mind you Hunt coming on for Mcmann was ok in that position. Fingers crossed for a kind draw.

Good result, but putting things into perspective City are akin to a junior team. Palpable relief when we scored though so potential banana skin avoided. Disappointing crowd, but I suppose it’s the norm these days.

Fingers crossed for a decent draw...

Aldo - there is a decent chance we will only be 1 league above Edinburgh next season.

Good professional job done although should have been seven or eight.Disappointing that in a game like this,Oakley didn't get on the scoresheet but that iis a minor grumble.

Can anyone explain why Moyo didn’t play or even get on the bench? After his performance against the Well I would have thought that he’d earned it. Am I missing something?

Ah, thanks for that. I wasn't aware.

Hoping he makes a speedy return.
