Tunnocks Caramel Wafer Cup v BSC Glasgow

Postby porcupine » Wed Aug 07, 2019 10:20 pm

Our under 21's comprehensively beat the Lowland League team by 4-0 tonight. New keeper Southwood looks good as opposed to the 'wunderkid' from Everton who looked dis-interested until he was subbed. Our defence and midfield, depsite being young boys against men, were streets ahead of what we have seen so far in the other cup competition. A solid team performance tonight to give them another game , next against an Airdrie side, whom we really struggled to beat with our first team. Our under 21's played throughout as a team, however, so they might cause an upset at their next game which is at home.

Brian Rice was in attendance and watching with interest, On these performances, one wonders why we are not prepared to try the Stanger's and Hamilton's, rather than take punts on similarly aged boys from no-where in England. Did we not 'blood' the McArthur's and McArthy's at a teen age??
