A draw will relegate Dundee but for me only a win will do, we owe the fans a result against them

We’re 2 points ahead of St Mirren but with a terrible goal difference.
If we draw and St Mirren lose to Motherwell we’ll be 3 ahead...but if we then lose at St Mirren on the Monday night we’ll go into the last game needing a better result v St Johnstone than St Mirren get against Dundee, which won’t be easy.
Therefore we need to best either St Mirren or Dundee.

Or why not both? Surely the team should be wound up to go for full points.

That would be great, but the point I was making is that we can’t afford to lose to either nor draw with both, we need to beat one to make sure we’re safe going into the last game.

Our away record under Rice is not good. Aside from the unexpected excellent result against Aberdeen we have lost the other 4 away games so I’m not expecting much from this game. Our defence is even more suspect without Kilgallon and posssibly Woods again. Dundee might have nearly as bad a defence as us but they are more likely to score going forward as well. I’d take a draw but in reality its 3 points we need. I will be there but expecting a win for Dundee.

Took this from pienbovril site, surely this is a wind up?

I believe the shankley stand is gonna be full...as what ive been reading there is about 3000 united fans going to witness our relegation....the same united fans who stayed away when their team needed them the most....anyway yir more than welcome dabbies just gie us yir money ta.

There has been chatter that some Dab fans are turning up in the hope of seeing Dundee relegated but hard to imagine those numbers.

I'm concerned with stats as I cant see Dundee losing 10 in a row regardless of how crap their defence is.

They’ll be confident in getting 3 points against us. Any team on a bad run with us next on the fixture list have rubbed their hands in glee all season. This won’t be any different and so they’ll gub us 3-0.

I think if we get a goal they might fold.

MacIntyre was pretty scathing of the team after last week and I don't see there being much harmony on or off the park unless they are winning.

Can't wait

On the way home. Missed first 40 minutes due to traffic!
Brilliant outcome, with a few better final passes it could have been 3 or 4.
Next game is as close to a cup final as we’ll get.

I was under orders to spend a night with my missus in Prestwick. Gutted that i missed the game and being with my mates. Still, i’ll have a few pints or 10 as a consolation...

St Mirren's late goal is fairly irrelevant. Five points or four points, a draw next week keeps us up. Well done today, players and fans.

Great result! Let's get it done against St Mirren! And also to relegate Dundee just puts the cherry on top! Surely the club will put buses on for the fans now.
