I was at both these games. The 7-0 at Tynecastle was awful. Feckin Sandy Jardine scored with a 25yard freekick.

Who?

I think you mean the legend that was (the late) Sandy Jardine, the first player to win the Scottish Footballer of the Year award twice, and still the only player ever to have done that with two clubs. Who played for Scotland at two World Cups - the best two, 74 & 78 - and won 38 caps. One of the best defenders I ever saw in the flesh.

No disgrace in having conceded a goal to him, even though he was about 38 then.

He explained why in that interview. He was working the night shift the night before, got called at 9pm to be told he was playing the next day, and stupidly (his assessment) said yes. No preparation, and not enough sleep.

Couldn't make the game but watched it on Alba.
We looked much more composed, organised, and keen to win the tackles, (and the game)! Defence looked much better.
Maybe too soon to think we now have a settled team selection? Playing like last Sunday and today, we should have no fears of an Aberdeen team who will have a days less preparation time than Accies, for Wednesday night.

Oh, and Tshiembe? No communication problems with him... better English than many of his teammates

Feeble excuse that.
I mean you don't hear the Chelsea and Man City player's moaning when they have to actually get up at around 9am and jump into their Audi/Maserati/Mercedes/BMW/Porsche or whatever 4x4 and jump into training to fulfil their contractual needs for their 100 grand a day.
They just get on with it.

Like Alf Tupper winning his races after a fish supper.

Or Roy of the Rovers.

It was crying out for Lewis Smith replacing Imrie in the 2nd half. Really disappointed he didn't try that However a good performance and an unexpected point.

I think the time to introduce a talented youngster like Smith is when we’re cruising in a game already won. The St Mirren game was a missed opportunity. But his time will come, I’m sure. We just need to wary of attaching too great a burden of expectation on the young man’s shoulders.

According to George Cairns there are a handful of youngsters well capable of stepping up to the first team very soon.
