Definitely fancy coming along to the home leg on Wed 24 Oct.

Do you need to get tickets in advance, or just turn up on the night?

Details for the home game should be known later this week coming or start of the following I will post once confirmed.

Thanks - I’ll look out for that.

2-2 - be a fantastic result if that finishes that way. A draw would be a great result anyway, but 2 away goals and a draw would be a superb platform for the home leg.

And it did finish 2 - 2 with Basel losing their no 2 to a red card in injury time so presumably he is not available for the return leg? A bit of publicity to should ensure a bumper crowd in 3 weeks time.

Fantastic result for the lads! Well done everyone involved. Things like this come along now and then to remind us that the club is moving in the right direction.

Excellent result, so no excuse not to have a huge crowd on the 24th to support Accies in a European Competition for the first time!!

The Club REALLY need to publicise this through all available media, including TV over the next three weeks. What chance of that, however?

And do away goals count double in this competition??

Won't boil down to the away goals rule.

No matter what happens in the second leg, the size of this achievement should not be understated. The boys came toe-to-toe with a club whose top team was second in the Swiss league last year. They play before average crowds in excess of 25,000. They have played in Europe every year for the last 18 years and have qualified for the group stages of the Champions League many times. So we can infer that their youth team will be no mugs.

The whole club should be hugely proud of these boys. As others say, a good crowd is deserved for the return. Sadly I won't be in the country.

Surely everyone who can will be there. Hopefully keep the prices low and encourage the people of Hamilton and South Lanarkshire to come out and cheer on local boys playing at the highest level in Europe.

How about free entry and get NDP rocking (not the Hope Stadium,NEW DOUGLAS PARK).
Seem to remember the last time the Club did this was for a game against Meadowbank in the 80s and was well received.

REALLY disappointed to see that there is STILL nothing on Accies FC official site 'NEWS' about this result. OK there are tweets, but it is the usual poor show from Accies communication. Not surprising that there is also nothing about it on BBC Scotland football.

We really shoot ourselves in the goolies at board level when we fail to take advantage of a real marketing opportunity to let other teams and fans know that there are other Scottish teams still in a European competition apart from Sevco and Cellik.

Seems like only the diehard Accies supporters see this as a great opportunity to show the people of South Lanarkshire that there is a group of talented footballers out there in the Hoops.

Let's hope that there is a real good pricing policy implemented to get as many along as possible for the first time we have had Accies in Europe at NDP.

Normally access to under 21 etc games is free other than a donation bucket at the main door. Basel charged 15 Swiss francs = £12. We could charge £10/5 but that seems dear. I trust the club tocome up with a sensible admission charge. There’s 3 weeks to go which gives the Advertiser time to big it up andSTV gave the tie some pre match coverage so hopefully they will give some more. BT have the tv rights and on Wednesday showed Liverpool and also Tottenham’s under 19 games live. Surely they can cover our second leg.

I don't really care what the admission charge is for this game - as long as I can go, I'll be there. Whatever the ticket price, it's cheaper than travelling to Switzerland.

Pricing discussions are on going there is a few things to consider before setting the price however I have asked for an update tomorrow if possible and will provide one once known (I’ve literally just got in the door from Basel myself)

A fantastic achievement yesterday a great performance against a side who beat Manchester United and Benfica last season, we could’ve won it late on.

The home game will be a great spectacle and one everyone at the club can’t wait for.

Cheers Sean, keep us posted as the bl oody club seem to do precious little to promote themselves.

The club should be knocking down the doors at BBC and STV, getting the Hammy Advertiser involved.

What about some free tickets for some of the local schools try and get the town behind the boys. This is a fantastic achievement against top notch opposition and the club needs to promote this heavily
