Owen Coyle resigns as Ross County manager

Postby smc4761 » Thu Mar 01, 2018 7:08 pm

Just heard on Clyde 1 Coyle has had enough and has resigned

Will this be bad news for us as when a manager goes a team usually start to pick up a few points here and there

Their down there for a reason.

Who’s available and bearing in mind they have to work with what they have as there’s no transfer window

Disarray in Dingwall.

I guess he didn't want the stigma of taking them down.

I thought Ross County played the sack-the-manager-and-bring-in-someone-new card too soon. 3 managers in one season? They deserve to go down. And they will.

They've stated the caretaker manager is in place till the end of the season.
Brave move, especially considering the next match being won would take them above Partick. If the players weren't playing for Coyle, they might start doing so for the new management team.

They looked a better team for me than St.Johnstone-Coyle or no Coyle.I find it hard to believe they have beaten us twice as we played them off the park twice.

Agree our results v St Johnstone were very disappointing given our performances. We must be due a result against them, when we finally get to play them. And they're definitely in the relegation/playoffs mix.

But County are done. They're only a couple of results from being already well adrift. I can't see any temporary coaching arrangement saving them. It might even be a sign they're starting to plan for next season in the Championship. Our trip to Dingwall is at least as important, and winnable, as our trip to Perth.
