Let's get an all weather pitch at Accies

Postby porcupine » Wed Dec 27, 2017 8:33 pm

 No, wait a minute , we have one.
Or do we?
Tonight's cancellation at 6.25pm is just another embarrassment for the unprofessional way we do things at Accies. According to the Radio, we caled the referee AT 5PM :?: :?: for at kick-off less than 3 hours later, and with most travelling support already on their way when we hear that the game is off at 6.25pm.

If the ground staff knew there might be problems, where temperatures have barely if ever got above zero today, why not call a referee in much sooner? Don't suppose we will hear the real story here, but it makes us a laughing stock where we are supposed to have an all weather pitch.

Only after picking up a mate, did we put on 810 AM to hear team news and find that all the other games are playable, on grass, and ours is scrubbed tonight.

Could this have been a tactical call-off, with Killy playing well and us on another iffy run?

I can't be the only one who is seriously pizzed-off tonight?

Drove 60miles to be there tonight - piss poor performance but, this time, not from the 1st team.

I've said for a long time the team I support resembles a PUB TEAM at times and this episode does nothing to dissuade me.

Same snow that was on the pitch fell on Christmas day. Did we not have anyone willing to work yesterday, do we not have pitch covers? This could of been avoided plus I thought we had underground heating? Complete shambles

When was the last time we had a game called off?

I understand people who were en route being pissed off, but using this as an excuse to have a go at the club? Again? Really?

Ok then let's not have a go at the Club.
Unlucky Accies.
Hard lines.
Really unlucky there for that game to be called off there in that minus 20 degrees frost.

Agreed but you cant use underground heating with a plastic pitch.
