Heard there could be arrests imminent.
A lot closer to home than China or Africa too.

Some context: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-41897888

I'm not sure that's what's happened here, but 19,000 people/businesses in Britain have lost £100 million in just six months, through authorised push payment (APP) scams.

St Johnstone have announced another profit making season last term.
Six consecutive seasons of top 6 finishes.
Regular European football.
A SCOTTISH CUP.
They have £2m sitting in their bank earning interest.
This well run Club would NEVER let themselves be suckered for £1m.
That's for sure.

You forgot to add that they haven't scored a goal in their last 6 games and some of their fans are moaning....

Look at the bigger picture.
Who would you rather have running your Club?
The Brown family or the McGowan narcotics anonymous family?

Thx for the advice, however I've got no problem seeing the bigger picture.
Chill out and get over Canning, McGowan and Rojano.
Failing that you could always switch allegiance and start following the mighty St Johnstone.... :D

Still no updates on this. Is the investigation still ongoing? Can we expect any sort of update on this anytime soon?

Surely no news is (relatively) good news?

Doesn't look like we're going bust, which was on the spectrum of possibilities.

As I said when it all kicked off, my source said the money would not be returned due to the nature of the theft.

If the club ever published accounts, that would help show transparency and help build a bridge of trust between the board/fans. I for one am genuinely interested in the ingoings/outgoings of our club, INC Paid ST revenue.

I have said from the outset that there is something very fishy about this whole episode.
Accies fans aren't daft in the main and due to the antics of previous incumbents of the Club over periods of time can't be blamed for being 'suspicious'.
Enough said.

Agreed here.

Take a look on Companies House for an interesting read. McGowan has seemed to dissolve some what 18 business :?

Also, who the fek are Edencrest? They seem to be our majority shareholder although i cannot find anything about them online.

Why is McGowan anywhere near a Football Club when he freely admits to not being a football fan?

It appears, IMO, that they are the stadium owners from the balance sheet. Fixed Assets of over £500K, trading losses of £20+K a year, and showing a Floating Charge on assets i/f/o Allied Irish Bank UK Ltd. All directors names are familiar to us. C McG is shown as having "significant control" from 2016. SC251459 shows all the (very limited) information on Edencrest Ltd. This'll probably be just a 'paper' company.

Private limted company means just that....... minimum statutory legal information made available to the general public at Companies House.

A taxi driver I spoke to at the weekend has a friend in the City who got told by a friend of a friend that Edencrest's working capital got a £900k boost recently.

RBS saying they will not reimburse the £863k we lost. Could be dark days ahead.

Sadly I was correct in this instance. He said if it was genuine fraud monies would be returned within a week, however the apparent nature of this 'fraud' is very loose and bordered on criminal negligence of club funds.

Hopefully some investors will approach asap.
