A season defining game, lose and we could be bottom by Wednesday evening, and most likely stay there.
At least last season we threw away leads to draw, another defeat after leading would be confidence sapping.
A win and a determined performance is needed if we’re to get back on track.
On paper the teams around us Dundee, Kilmarnock, Thistle and County have bigger, better squads so if we become detached it’ll be hard to get back.
We’re certainly capable of competing, especially with a full injury free squad and have the makings of a decent team at this level, but need to defend better.
Guidance and organisation from the touch line would help, when we go ahead we don’t seem to know what to do next.

Accies to race into a 3 goal lead in the first twelve minutes.
Rakish misses a sitter to make it 4 just before HT.
Many Accies fans think to themselves we will live to regret that miss.
And that's how it proves as the Jolly Jags run riot in the 2nd half with a Storey hat trick, and a double each from Erskine and Doolan in a 7-3 win.
Crowd 2,233 (233 home fans).
Martin says post match that he's bemused how we have found yet another way how to lose a game.

Bottom of table by end of game, and there we will stay until end of season.

Canning will still be in charge at end of season home crowds will be down to 500 Accies fans at best

I was witness to Martin's first game in charge against Thistle at Firhill when we lost 5-0 , MAC threw his toys out the pram and the team looked totally rudderless . OK the loss of Alex Neil was a shock to the players but even then it was quite apparent that MC was not going to be the man. The players that night argued amongst themselves and there was no guidance from the touch line.

I think MC was reluctantly thrust into the managerial role and we lost his influence on the pitch at the back but time has now passed and although we've pulled a few rabbits out the hat in the general we have been mediocre at best , there is no leadership on or off the pitch and as for Mr. Beuzelin in what does he do? great coach / tactician , yet to see his influence.

MC nice guy but not up to task .

If we lose to Thistle tomorrow ,or should that be when we lose to them tomorrow ,Martin should do the right thing , I'm fed up with hard luck stories . We need organisation , starting from the back FFS we have a towering centre back and still lose goals from set pieces.

I'm not having the injuries argument , apart from Woods , the bench we had on Saturday was as strong as it's been for a while. Ally's been posted missing for a while now , Sarris blows hot and cold as does Skondras but he must be a better option then Lyon.

I love the Accies and have done since my first game back in the sixties , we've been though tough times for sure and been through the mill , we were the worst professional team in Scotland at one time and have come through that. We are in the Premier league again , a great achievement , but let's compete to the ability I think we have. With a different manager and coaching team I believe we can compete.

As much as I hate to say it , look what's being done at Motherwell now , very organised by a Manager who does know what he is doing.

The thing is its all well and good saying canning out etc. But he’ll just be replaced by Donati or Imrie if he chucked it and we’d be in the same situation after they fail as well.

Would Imrie not be worth a shot? Would keep him off the Park!

How about getting in an actual manager that won't break the bank.

Tell it to the club not me, we should have appointed one of the “numerous applicants” that applied when Neil left and Canning had failed miserably in all 3 of his caretaker games.

Watched the Partick v Dundee highlights and Dundee should've been comfortable 4,5,6 nil winners. How they gifted them 3 points is beyond belief and i'm more worried about saturday than tomorrow.

Lump it on both teams to score and Plastic Whistle to win.

I am not quite so pessimistic as most. I think Thistle really got lucky on Saturday.

It really does depend on our team selection. rojano up front please + Gogic and Donati centre backs. Bring back Skondras and Imrie on the bench
