Transfer Thread 2017/18

Postby PrideOfLanarkshire » Thu Jun 01, 2017 8:20 am

Instead of a new thread every time someone signs or leaves i thought it would be better if there was a single one for this topic.

So lets get the ball rolling..

Is it finally time for Ali Crawford to get his move? I noticed Derek Adams was at the game Vs Dundee Utd. He's quite prone to taking players from Scotland and with Plymouth getting promoted the budget will be there.

Also, Skondoras and Alex D'Acol are out of contract, believe we are trying to renew there deals.

Need a striker, should push the boat out for skondras but can't see that happening. It'll be the usual accies waste a wage signings that won't complete a season but hope I'm wrong and we to the next level for our 4th season of top flight football.

Hopefully Skondras and D'Acol will sign new deals

Accies will need to sign - GK, LB, CB or 2 depending how long Devlin is out for, STRIKER possibly another winger.

Sibbald would do me. I'd be surprised if more bottom 6 teams weren't in for him too though.

Rumours today that we're in for Ricky Lamie and that Crawford might be subject to a bid from Swindon. To be honest I think we've got as much as we can from Ali, would probably suit us both if he was to move. Andreu would be the perfect replacement if Sibbald went elsewhere...

Lamie would be a good addition at CB, the quicker we get Donati out of there the better. I would like to see us having another look at Storey too now he's a free agent. Hopefully there'll be an actual left back signed at some point too.

Is it? Fair enough. I'm not 'on' Twitter so never sure what's right and what's not.

I see our good friends at Motherwell fancy a swoop for handsome young prospect Willo Flood to team up with adonis Stephen Pearson in the 2017/18 team pic.

Motherwell getting the business done early with 3 new players already, albeit a lot of there older players have left.

Hope we intend to do business soon, Les was very clear when he said players didn't want to sign for accies and that's why our dealings are usually late, hope that is starting to change after 4 years in the prem going for 5.

I think he would make a competent Div1-2 player tbh, but at the age of 22, he isn't going to break into our first team squad, like many of his colleagues have done.

Hopefully Les is scanning the Euro Dross market for any potential diamonds such as Skondras and Gogic.

Let him go
Did quite good but wouldn't be crying my eyes out if he left.
Got caught out once or twice against a crap Dundee Utd.
A tad overrated.
