Accies v St Mirren

A must not lose game and dofo a game we could start another run from.
We need the most experienced team to get the result and stop the mistakes at the back.

We need goals from a striker as we can't put all our hopes on midfeilders , Think scotland is that option from the start, Ally Croword has dipped like the team and could do with a shot on the bench as we need the Dazzler on agenst Goodwin ( both to be sent off) we need Neil
in the team to help the defence.
Rutledge on for Neil and Mac on for Jason When they get tired.

We should persevere with Stephen Hendrie, he is in the U21s and is a better left back than Gills. I would be tempted to drop Redmond until he is fit enough to play something like 90 mins:

Would like to see the same team that had such a good run (Motherwell, Aberdeen, Celtic) given a chance after the international break.

If we hold it at the back Im confident we can score and St Mirren have an awful goal scoring record so I take us for all 3 points. The debate seems to be between Devlin and Canning so to me its a matter of confidence and ensuring we don’t get caught out too far up the park whichever of the 2 plays.

Took us a while to get going which may be result of the enforced break but Andreu’s goal was a peach and in the second half it seemed only one team in it as we added another two. A bit discomforting was that they then hit the bar 3 times and missed a sitter in the second half so our defensive frailties have not disappeared despite the clean sheet. Anyway while Tommy Craig is still in charge no fear we will finish bottom if our form dips. Don’t see him lasting much longer

A convincing win - yes Saints had chances towards the end but they wouldn't have had them if we had not already been 3-0 up. Looking at the teamsheet before the game I was pleased to realise that any of the subs listed could easily have been a first choice so we have a real depth to the squad now that maybe wasn't there for our previous SPL seasons.
A slow start to the game, but the difference in class between top and bottom of the division was obvious. Accies are a good side!

Thought we were miles better that St Midden, but it wouldn't take much to claim that.
The Buddies this season are dire.
Personally even though we won 3-0, I thought we didn't play that well and especially in defence we still look disorganised.
We may have switched off after going 3-0 up, but if we offered those types of chances to better teams in the SPL, we would have been punished.
Still lots of work to be done, but great to be back to winning ways.
