It's quite rare for us to win at Pittodrie, but every now and then we nick a draw - here's hoping.

4-5-1, please, keep it tight at the back, but not be afraid to break forward. Nobody expects us to take anything, so a fought-for point would be a bonus.

What he said^^^^ Hopefully by the time this comes around Thistle will have defeated Killie.

Aberdeen are capable of giving us a heavy defeat but equally likely to fail to turn up and allow us a 0-0 draw...hopefully the latter. Quite happy for us to park the bus (or even our new doughnut eating signing "Krispy" Kremy) in front of the goals to achieve this.

We had three wins at Pittodrie during our last spell in the Premier. Stand to be corrected but I don't recall any draws, we either win or lose, latterly we've lost.

3 wins and 3 defeats in our first spell. 2 league defeats this time with no wins. We also lost in the league cup last season.

Be lucky to keep the score under 2 nil. Aberdeen have looked very weak at times, but they'll love the chance to score from easy crosses against us. They'll expose our poor LWB/RWB combo, like others have.
It's on BT SPORT so it's sure to be a sloppy snoozefest.

You never stand still in football. If you're not moving forward , effectively you're going back.

An important barometer of our direction :
1. Who is improving as a player ?
2. Who of our better players wishes to commit himself to the club for even the medium future ?
3. Which promising players wish to join us?
4. What evidence is there of managerial intelligence and strategy ?
5. What evidence is there of clear leadership, impetus and direction ?

I do not blame the manager for his courage in accepting a job for whom few would have been sufficiently equipped at his age, and with his lack of experience.

1-3 depends on 4 and 5. 4 takes time to learn. I want to see clear evidence of 5 immediately.

I expect defeat on Sunday, and will accept a committed, conscientious performance ( irrespective of result) providing that the players also display their true levels of skill, which were shown last year to belong easily within the Premiership.

For the remainder of the season I expect us to move up the table to a level commensurate with our players' abilities.

My son has a game on Sunday morning And so for only the second time in my life I am going to watch accies live on the telly and it makes me much more nervous about the game.
Last time was an Inverness away game about 5 years ago and every other live game I've been at!
Hoping for 4-5-1 and giving it a go. Wouldn't mind seeing under 20s left back if 4 at the back although Kurakins is fine if 5 at the back. Will Crawford be well again?

Going to match tomorrow....first trip to Pittodrie.....

Think it'll be a long day and an even longer trip back down......

Hopefully a 1-1 draw.....

Tena and Devlin at CB?? If so, Tena will get ripped for pace as usual. Hopefully, Ziggy at CB with Lyon at RB.

Crawford back in, don't think so......but, a firing Crawford is the best we have, tbh.

Hopefully victories for Partick and St J today might make the trip slightly less daunting......

Heard Lyon isn't fit after watching 20s game other night would be tempted to give Reilly a shot at RB soon

Gordon, jesus, devlin and kurakins for me. Kemy to replace Gills ? with Daz and Ali in the centre.

We need to fight them in midfield not at the back. Not too much to be optimistic about but anything would be a bonus.

Is Gillespie suspended again?
If not he should keep his place.

Embarrassing. 3 down. Chris Sutton suggested 20 mins ago that the back five is not working. MC stands impassive as usual. Cricket score forecast at this rate. We are slower than a week in jail.

Fair play to the people who went to the game!

I've now turned the TV off!

What an joke our club is! This is down to Les and the BOD with their old palls act!

I hate Chris Sutton but he called it corect after 5 min. The formation is wrong and canning needs to change it. 3-0 and still not changed it!

Canning out

There are none so blind as those that cannot see.
Canning is incompetent.
This is going to be horrible, 3 down and getting pummelled but no change in system or personnel. What is he waiting for? Even a buffoon like Sutton can see the issue, sadly canning can't. Pathetic.
