That was a Hibs team that should have been beaten. First half I think we actually edged it and had Keatings not missed an opportunity from a Miller cross then we go in 1 up. Instead Hibs come out for the second half and dominate proceedings and we seem to lose all motivation and drive. No ideas or creativity going forward. I dont know if losing woods affected the players and they were frightened to expose marsden but he at least was up for it and made several good saves. Wouldnt blame him for the goal either. Bingham as the fans know BRINGS NOTHING TO THE GAME MARTIN, and substituting him with Bloomfield made not a jot of difference even Boyd for Taiwo added nothing. And a home crowd of 1152 I don’t think so. I accuse the club of fiddling the figures. Lucky if it was 700 and that would include nearly 100 kids groups obviosly on freebies. If the directors cant see what is in front of their eyes then i can only assume they are happy to be relgated so they can bring their next generation of yuoth players through in the Championship. I cannot see any other reason to allow Martin to continue.

As TT says above,we played decent first half and
should have taken one of the opportunities that were there but second half was the opposite.

A decent Manager sees Hibs pressing, bringing on Horgan in midfield and changes it there and then taking off the dreadful Imrie(who Sowah was giving abuse to after the goal which was needed as Imrie always blames everyone else) and we at worst get a point but this clown as usual leaves it too late after the damage was done.

There were no legs on the left of midfield-even McMann instead of Imrie would have provided running power and drove us up the park and allied to a striker other than Bingham that was a game we could have sneaked a goal and a much needed three points but we rarely do that.

Marsden played well in goals but what is the score these days with Ryan Fulton?

What did Albert Einstein say again, oh yeah, insanity is doing the same things over and over again expecting a different result...can this phrase be directed (pardon the pun) towards the BOD, happy clappers or all of the above???

Martin, once again, talks about dusting ourselves down, after a defeat...maybe somebody should make sure they clean the Accies dugout...potential claim against the club re inhaling hazardous substances.

Unlucky Canning - tried as hard as He could, made all the right changes and Boyd and Bloomfield looked like they had changed the game in our favour. Boyd's passing was as usual crisp and accurate and straight to feet while he added supreme effort alongside Imrie who was harrying and nipping into tackles all day, what an engine the guy has and his legs are just as good as ever. Bingham really bullied their centre halves and won almost every header, while he could have had a hat-trick on another day with all those chances he created. Our only problem was Hibs were just too good, really impressed with them and their class showed in the end, with the traditional never say die attitude from our boys just not being enough against a team packed full of current and future internationalists.

Hard to pick out a man of the match for us are there were some really terrific performances from back to front and throughout the team, but slightly unusually I'd give it to our leader Canzo who was all action on the touchline, continually urging the troops onto better and better efforts in keeping the ball on the deck, never hitting hopeful cross field balls and demanding we only punted it aimlessly if there were no other options. His tactical insight and positional know-how made Neil Lennon look like an amateur in comparison and if we had converted any of the 27 shots we had on target we would be toasting another masterclass in managerial nous and acumen. Was disappointed in MacKinnon and Kilgallon for both having the temerity to shout at Marty instead of listening and learning, Kilgallon looked decidedly annoyed at being told to pass 15 yards on the deck instead of just knocking it high into the box like he had been doing until Marty told him off near the end, but after all if everyone listened to Martinho all the time we would be challenging for Europe. It must have been hard to make himself heard over the 25,000 diehards in the crowd as well as the hordes baying from the Sainsbury's End as they had been locked out, but in the end luck was a stranger today and we didn't get the win our terrific play - outstanding at times really - deserved.

I had to box the ears of one young chap who incredibly moaned after the game about our display, instead of being thankful that he is alive at just the right time to bear witness to undoubtedly the greatest few years in our history. How ungrateful are the young ones nowadays?

The crowd must’ve been bad. Even a home game v st mirren would warrant burnbank road being nose to tail with parked cars from the bp garage up.

On the way back from the Vics game (4-0 talbot) about 3:35pm there was spaces galore and even in at fulwood industrial there wasn’t the same volume of cars.

Sign of the times

2945 was the crowd a year ago.

Today it was 2169.

That’s nearly 800 down on the equivalent fixture so who was the guilty club?

Big Wurzil makes a great point re drop in attendance...I looked at both the Old Firm home games attendance, around the same time also, against Celtic, this year attendance down approx 500, whilst Rangers attendance down approx 400.

The positive spin, would be, the BOD have listened to the supporters and made sure no Old Firm supporters bought home end tickets.....

Martinho's record in all competitions is now :-

Matches - 171 W - 45 D - 38 L - 88 Goals For - 202 Goals against - 302

In all likelihood, after the next 2 games he will have lost double the amount of matches he has won. Just let that sink in and marvel at the depths of mediocrity which the board accept and indeed continue to promote and condone. He has already achieved this milestone in league games (W - 33 L - 74), but even given the 'wee' teams we play against in early season competitions, his overall record is an omnishambles.

I think the question of crowd numbers is academic really when faced with that harsh reality.

Flat. Totally flat. NDP lacks in atmosphere even at the best of times, but today it felt like a morgue. No passion, no emotion and simply no expectation in the fans’ minds that we’ll actually play well.

We did play okay first half, but please o’ please Martin can you stop playing Bingham, stop making tactical descions that Erwin Rommell would have topped himself over again should he have made them and, above all, train with the under 19’s!!

Being an Accies fan this season is becoming a chore. An absolute chore.

Yep conjunctivitis or root canal treatment sure beats watching Accies these days, sadly.

The BOD & Management team have killed the atmosphere at NDP. Section A, the drum, the singing, the enjoyment of going to the football is all gone. Few have even jumped ship to other clubs which is wrong but the choice they've made. Does the SLO have anything to say on this? Surely he must see what's left sitting around him and must see the hundreds of empty seats around him. Does he care? Don't know but as he's the fans rep he has got to demand a fans forum for the fans to let the board the feelings we have. This is actually a worse feeling than the final days of Billy Reid. It's fckn horrible being an Accies fan just now. Over to you SLO.

Pretty much sums the feelings of myself an others on here. Think though as has been mentioned before the BOD dont give a flying fick. Think if crowds even drop to 500/600 they would still not care. Which is surprising as surely sponsors will start asking questions

I get the feeling they are trying to run the club down but have no idea why

News re Smith tucked away in the programme. Nothing on twitter or the official website. surprised it took this long to let him go given the relationship breakdown occurred almost pre season. Would imagine several more at the January window followed by the usual 3/4 recruits.

We will be bottom. Dundee have got a manager and Kenny Miller. St Mirren's new guy is gradually finding his way and they have Adam Hammill. We have a numpty and no outstanding player except perhaps one centre half.
