Another feeble display and a victory for the home side .
Martin Guardiola to come out in the Paisley media room post match to bemoan another hapless performance saying his side "weren't at it".
4-nil St Midden.

I fancy us to win this one. Unfashionable, I know, but there you go.

A draw wouldn't be so bad, but St Mirren won't fancy our visit after what we did to them at NDP. With (almost) a full squad to choose from, and in full knowledge of the significance of the game, I think we'll have too much for them.

2-0 Accies.

2-0 St Midden, they have been playing fairly well recently and the win last week will have boosted confidence.

Our players on the other hand are lacking in confidence, not helped by Imrie shouting abuse at them every 5 minutes. He needs to have a look at himself in mirror

Then onto the next one Dundee away and another 2-0 defeat. After which if Canning is not shown the door, the man is unsackable

Now I've had time to ponder more I'm changing my prediction again.
I'm going for St Midden 6, Accies 1.
Mikel Miller to put us into an early lead.Saints to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and go in 2-1 up at half time with an Adam Hamill double.
Despite expert advice from Martin Guardiola, his troops don't heed it and another 3 Hamill strikes and an Alex Penny own goal rounds off another good day at the office for Accies.
Crowd 3,998.(8 from South Lanarkshire)
Weather Light,light drizzle.
Managerial status, as you were.
Martin's jumper, resplendent.
Wind SW to S moderate.

It’s not looking good weather wise for our visit to St Mirren and morale amongst the fans could not be worse, unless we lose the next 3 games. Despite that...
I’m travelling in hope of repeating our performance against them earlier in the season and that they’ve had their lucky win last week. Ziggy’s in the paper saying the players are up for it and expect to win.
It’ll depend on what team Canning picks whether we do, if he gets it right we will.
I’d go
Mucha
McGowan Tshembie Kilgallon Gordon
Martin MacKinnon McMann
Boyd Miller
Brustad

But we’ll probably have Bingham Imrie and Woods playing.

If we lose this and Dundee away we’re finished and so should Martin Canning be.
Conversely if we take 4 points then another from Hibs next week we should be safe...what about Canning?
For me the season and his Accies future ride on these 2 games.

I would go for

Mucha

McGowan, Delph, Kilgallon, Ziggy

Daz and Scotty

Keatings, Boyd and Mickel

Brustad.

No doubt McMann, Imrie and Bingham will start though.

I’m going to ignore Martins’ future whatever happens I still think he is in with bricks. A few weeks ago I would have been confident of securing a positive result. It looked as though defensively we had found stability and could focus on getting goals but now we are shipping more goals than my fathers last merchant ship and it sank of the Norwegian coast! Still think we have enough in the squad to take all 3 points. Upfront it’s burtsad for me alongside Miller with Imrie on the bench to come on for the last 30. Change the keeper? I’m undecided. Anyway I’ll be there so fingers crossed.

Big decision for Canning to change a contracted keeper for someone who has not played for months on a short term contract, if that happens and does not come off for him, all he has succeeded in doing is ruining his relationship with current players at best but surely defeat will mean him getting sacked, smacks of panic to me.

I hear Canning fancies a January swoop for Lawrence Shankland to fill the left wing back role.

Having just watch Shankland and Ayr teammates demolish Dundee United tonight you just wonder what MC couldn't see in him as a striker when he was released from Aberdeen.

Canning would much rather shop in the Euro Pish or English lower League drivel departments.
As results prove.

We’ve got to get a minimum of four point from today and Wednesday. Nothing else is acceptable.

After these two massive games its hibs, Rangers then killie before the Lanarkshire derby at new year. The way we are playing at the moment I don’t see us getting much or anything from these games unless we get a confidence boost over the next few days.
