Fulton was at fault because he never came to collect the cross in the first place which then led to the free kick and goal. Many of us said this at the game at the time.

He comes and collects the cross,no free kick,no goal...simples.

The sooner Woods is back the better.

It struck me on Saturday that, until Danny Redmond came on, we had no one on the park who could deliver a decent dead ball. Or maybe we had, but Dougie, god love him, wasted every single free kick and corner we got. Motherwell, on the other hand, threatened from every dead ball and scored their 2nd goal from one.

Danny whilst very crafty sadly lacked the support and physicality to thrive in that sort of game. Motherwell seemed more physical and superior fitness and ability, didn't think i'd say that for a long time. Even with Ali in the team, I don't think we would have favoured any better. After watching back the replay, we looked two steps behind them in every attack.

And at least 6 first team regulars down too.

Gillespie certainly isn't someone I'd consider a starter.
Outwith Ali-Sarris-Woods we had a pretty similar team to what would start most games. Templeton is the 'impact sub'
I don't think we should be making excuses for talent missing. Whilst Ali has saved our arse on multiple occasions, he's never reached that full potential with consistency.
I don't think Sarris would have done a better job than Gogic, despite Gogic playing out of position.
We were tactically inept with zero creativity.
If we don't pick up important points in the next couple of games, we could easily be bottom by Christmas.

The only excuse I personally would use is that Canning is an excuse of a Manager.
IMO.
