Finally confirmed by the club on twitter after his agent tweeted the news earlier. Bit happier now, now just need a goal scorer or two and a centre half.

And one to add to the twenty-six squad players in the photo from Spain on Twitter. Can't quite name them all. Are there one or two trialists in there??

Cerny did indeed cost £200k and left on a free.

Did we get value from him by staying in the SPL, and finishing 7th? I think he probably helped repay most of that.

We are not in a position to chuck money about, but we do need to do better at spending what money we do have more wisely.

We are not in a position to throw money about , I'm guessing this means paying the going rate for wages for a proven premiership striker . Or at most a small fee for someone who has scored goals at some level and hasn't potential rather bargain basement crap .

Delighted with skondras signing , a centre half, 2 strikers and a winger needed .

Great signing.
We're now only about 5 players short.
Worth noting also that he's only agreed terms.
He hasn't actually signed yet.
Kyle Lafferty agreed terms with Hibs but ended up at Hearts.
Still 6 players short then.

Been away, but come back to the usual knicker wetting and moaning about all things Accies by the usual suspects. The club has a way of conducting it's business and no amount of moaning on here is gonna change that. Good to see Skondras back, a good bit of business, hopefully get a few more in.

Maybe some of the young players deserve a promotion rather than gambling on older ones that are getting passed around Europe. Skondras and others have done well but the failure rate is very high. Maybe time for Boyd, Cunningham, Hughes and even one or two below that group, like Lewis Ferguson to get some game time in the League Cup. Downside of that is if results go against us and they get accused of not taking the cup seriously enough, which to be fair, I have said myself in the past. It's a fine line but it's not as if they'll be facing Messi and Ronaldo, it's Scottish football. We've had 16 year olds in the team before after all!

I've never watched the U20s but do follow there results with interest.
Who realistically is ready to move up to the first team, as Scott McMann did last season and Greg Docherty the season before?
There must be some excellent prospects for them to finish 2nd, above Celtic's youths. If we decided to promote 3-4 into the squad or even first team I'd have no objection, in fact I'd rather we did than sign a few euro-duds.
What we need to do as well is have enough experienced good players, like Skondras and MacKinnon, in the team to encourage their development and help them through games.
There are always good players iin the Scottish leagues below us and we should be considering some of them, even if it involved a small fee.
I'm looking forward to the squad numbers being announced to see who has been promoted from the U20s.

Tierney, Hughes and Boyd i'd say are worth the gamble in the 1st team squad.

The Sun reporting we have ex Celtic keeper Daniele Giordano on trial, back up for woods more than likely so will take anyone.

They should be given a chance at the start of the season if we have no direct solutions already in place, that way we can gauge if they are ready before too much damage is done. I think Mcmann is decent, I however think we could do better.
We need to accept that with the current management of the club in place, things are not going to change. We are not going to be sensible and try and get the best signings possible, we are not going to have a club that listens to its fans, we're not going to have the well oiled machine that the people of Hamilton could potentially get behind.

Great shout.
The Apathy has always come from within.
The fans are there if the Board play the game with the supporters and give them something tangible to support.
5000 home fans v Clyde backs this up.
