We've signed 31 year-old defender Xavier Tomas from Lausanne for an undisclosed fee. Weird seeing us pay money, but here's hoping he does well.

What position is the new defender? CB? We do need cover in defence, but not just there... a few fullbacks needed too.

Positive to see we have signed a striker (if what has been said previously is correct?!) - just hope we get the clearance and the club actually announce it....

Tomas is 6ft 6. I'd have a guess he is a CB.

Great news that we have signed someone and at 6ft 6 would seem to be a big lump of a bloke. If he a CB and is playing with Skondras, could they be done for pace?
although I would imagine they will win most in the air balls

Difficult I know but we really need to get in a goalscorer and perhaps someone else to back him up, should they be injured/lose form

John McQuade was money well spent but not nearly as astute a buy as Paul Martin.
Martin Nelson and Mick McAnenay were pants though.
As were Liddle,Joe Craig and Gerry Colgan.

Not sure if Fulton will be a waste of a signing, never seen him and Woods is probably better. End of the day Darren Jamieson will never get a game.

We need two competent keepers. We lost both Woods and Matthews for spells last season. Fulton has good experience already at Portsmouth and Chesterfield and he'll have been bought to put pressure on Woods as well as being a back up. Jamieson is obviously only deemed good enough for the U20s, while we have young Marshall as fourth choice.

Think Marshall is on loan at Boness with Rico Quitongo and Jamie Boyd.
