A bad injury - tear on ACL - now confirmed by the club, a shame for one of our best who always gives his best. Don't know if it's linked at all but he did play whilst carrying an injury on Saturday.

Excuse my ignorance, but it is that as bad as a full ACL injury? Hopefully Mikey can look at Darren McGregor of Hibs for inspiration. He had two ACLs more or less back to back and has had several uninterrupted seasons in a row since then.

Feel terrible for him. A really nice guy, good player and probably had better things coming this summer. Had another bad injury this time 2 years ago and it took him until Annan the following January to come back - even longer for him to get back to his best.

Darren McGregor's cruciates didn't happen on a plastic pitch. But I have to say I hate that pitch too and wish we would get back to grass. I think it keeps a few folk away too.

It definetly must stop older players looking at us. Not that I'd want a team full of journeyman, st j don't let McLean play on it there's someone Aberdeen don't let play on it, and swalies hated playing on it.
