I think your comparison is very much apples and pears.

However if folk want to start multiple threads peddling certain relegation I don't think it's unfair to pinpoint the multiple threads again when that certainty proves to be nonsense

Still the only player I have seen in an Accies shirt over four decades that could 'ping' a 50/60 yard pass across the park from defence onto an Accies attacker.

Contracts are pretty ruthless things, and the Club may feel that they have more than honoured their part by paying JGT's wages for all of this season without any 'on park' contribution. With his contract expiring, and the Club's view that there was no likelihood of the player starting a game before considering renewal/extension, then they have taken the hard nosed decision to let Tena go.

The message on the Club website could/ should have been far more gracious in its response for JGT's four years significant contribution to our present success, regardless of what might have happened behind the scenes.
