Euro windfall

Postby Don van Vliet » Fri Jul 01, 2016 12:22 pm

Does this http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36436159 mean that there will be a cash payout to Accies for McGovern's involvement in NI's mini-triumph? Or was he off our books before the competition started? Even so, the article suggests we should be getting a payout for his involvement in the qualifiers. Kurakins too?

Let's not forget that Kurakins was also in the Euro's Qualifying campaign for Latvia, though they never made the Finals. Maybe something for him too?

The Beeb's website indicates that the figure is not yet decided :

The amount - which will be finalised after the tournament - is based upon a fixed amount per day that the player is involved in the squad, beginning 14 days before the first match and lasting until the day after the final match the team plays at the tournament.

His contract with us only officially ran out on 30/06, so we should get some cash.
