Hoping for an attacking display tonight as its two teams with
nothing to lose. A goal for Ziggy Gordon would be nice too.

lets give ziggy and McGovern a good send off tonight. especially ziggy hes been a great servant and deserves a good move. just a shame we wont see any money, but then again the money would not be invested into the 1st team squad so not too fussed.

Accies v ICT......

Postby Mrsweetleftfoot » Wed May 11, 2016 10:24 pm

Quite enjoyed the match, Accies played with more purpose and pace in the 2nd half until Mr Finnie stepped in.

That ref is shocking, every time he officiates Accies we don't finish the game with 11 men and we are left with a succession of inconsistent and biased decisions.

To the game........

Accies stood off ICT in first half and heavens only knows what happened for their goal.....poor defending.
Tena and Devlin never played as a partnership the whole time as you could e driven that big red bus through the gap between them. Not really sure what Tena was playing at tonight as he looked even slower than his usual ambling pace.

Boyd and Kurtaj didn't get enough of the ball but wasted it every time they did have a chance to go forward and hurt ICT....where is the fella that performed wonderfully well in the early part of the season.....the Kurtaj of the last few months has been rubbish.

Brophy and Morris did well, much better in 2nd half when ICT decided to sit back.
Disappointing way to finish our home league campaign as we didn't deserve to lose the match.

What a fantastic save their GK made from Morris' flick on.

Special mention to Morris, McGovern and Ziggy in possibly their last home matches in the hoops......

I thought ICT were the better team on the night. They worked as a unit better, but we were clearly missing Dougie and Ali, apart from Kurtaj being poor and Boyd looking as if he was overawed by his debut in the first team.

Team seemed to play better after McKinnon was sent off and Docherty came on. Daz is a real liability on too many occassions. Not sure if we can afford to continue with someone with such a short fuse (if any )---Discuss?

We did have some chances, the best of which was Danny Redmond's free kick which just skimmed the post having gone clean through a mass of bodies. Despite another close thing with Docherty managing to put the ball over from a quick well-worked chipped free kick, we never got that equaliser. There was little to separate the teams tonight. Strong 150% as usual from Ziggy.....oohh how we will miss him.

The referee Finnie had yet another shocker.

I've said it all season about mackinnon, the worst I've ever seen is when he was squaring upto Imrie mid match over a disagreement. he doesn't give enough to us on the pitch to justify his behaviour. I'm not doubting his passion, he doesnt have the ability to back it up though.
We were unlucky not to get a draw at least. the pace brophy showed before being taken down in the box was pretty explosive, if he can show that more often, I'd be happy for more starts.
