Interesting press release, but hard to draw conclusions without more evidence or explanation.

Is our crest potentially at risk because of the "crown" device, or because of the three stylised white flowers on the red shield? The former seems very generic, the latter so varied from the form of the Hamilton town coat of arms as to represent no issue, surely?

I can understand the problem for any club badge that uses a saltire or a lion rampant (without necessarily agreeing they need to change). Similarly any other obviously protected symbol. But on the other hand, many of these badges have been in place for decades with no questions raised, so why now? Also, it seems pointless flagging it up to the Scottish Parliament when that body has no jurisdiction over it.
