That just abouts sums up Canning, delusional till the end.
We all know we are punching above our weight when it comes to the size of the club, however we definitely have a better team than Killie for example!
He's obviously been fed this from above, he always has an excuse as to why we don't win matches. Instead of saying "I didnt pick the best team, or make the best tactical choices" He instead says we would've won any other day, yet his record of wins since January 2015 would suggest otherwise!!
That really just proves to me that Martin has no desire to push this team forward. He should just say "I know i am punching above my weight, I'm not half the manager Alex Neil was, he actually managed to work wonders with the same group of players"

Regardless of punching above our weight, aye we are a small club but under Neil, he had us believing that we could have a crack and anyone. Slick pass and move football, teams couldn't get near us. He's moved on and Canning has turned us into long ball crap, the results speak for themselves. We have went from teams fearing us and in fear of coming to NDP to laughing stocks. There comes a time when you need to be realistic and say it's not working and try to save a club before we disappear into the championship for another 5 years!!!! Canning out!

That's just utter nonsense. You genuinely don't hear any other manager hitting out with the "punching above our weight" excuse. Did Derek Adams keep on trotting it out when County first came up? It's slightly different but you don't hear Eddie Howe or Quique Sanchez at Bournemouth or Watford making these claims. Alex Neil didn't ever say it either. Also, it isn't a small section of supporters (by which he clearly means section A); there have been outcries from the entirety of NDP plenty of times (not to mention the few fans that stayed until the end of the Annan game rightly giving him plenty of stick). In fact, it's a minority that support him nowadays.

To be fair, Alex Neil did say that things don't really get any better if you're an Accies fan after we won at Celtic. Looks like he was right but why shouldn't we aspire to getting to a cup final. Since 1980, every other medium sized club has reached at least one major semi final except us and Morton. Annan was an utter disgrace for a club of our standing and he should have been sacked that weekend

A few quotes - "It's being able to get the players that are going to come to Ross County on the money that we pay. That's the biggest issue we have"
"As I keep on saying, we have taken a team from the village and we've put them on the map and we've taken them to the SPL and we want to stay there"

Not quite "punching above our weight" but in the same ball park.

Unlikely to find quotes from Eddie Howe or Bournemouth's billionaire Russian owner or Quique Sanchez and Watford's Italian billionaire owner

County chairmen on sportsound saying , how they are a small community club but want to be the best they can be .

Partick boss Alan Archibald on there game against Aberdeen "we have to defend well BUT we have good players who can hurt them"

If only our board and manager would come out and be positive , our players will spend the full week being told there limitations and how good Inverness are , Canning will be at that game tonight playing manager , sitting with his peers thinking to himself i've made it, wondering to himself how to stop Partick when we play them "should we drop Crawford and put in an extra defender when we play them" instead of thinking "we can exploit them here , they have a weakness there , our players can match up to them , we can beat them"

Is the storm Accies U20s winning 2 - 0 at half time against Rangers U20s?

Do all real fans give up on their teams after 2 defeats under a caretaker manager?

This one did and very justified in my actions? It was clear after two games only a puppet can take the best accies team in years and turn them into trash that got pumped in his first three games.

Although let's not forget it was not that clear when you changed your mind, that repeated amnesia must be a problem for you

Unlikely to find quotes from Eddie Howe or Bournemouth's billionaire Russian owner or Quique Sanchez and Watford's Italian billionaire owner

The two County quotes don't tell their fans to have a reality check because they're punching above their weight. They don't use where they have been in the past to try and justify poor form. The second one is fairly ambitious, to be honest, and tells us how they've come a long way and want to kick on and not be content being a wee plucky team in the top flight. The first doesn't prove anything. They say that it was difficult to get in players on the money they pay which is fair enough but they've still managed to kick on and secure a top 6 place in their first season and become an established top flight club. They also saw an issue when they looked dead and buried last season and they went out and fixed it which is something we haven't done 3 transfer windows in a row.
Saying that Bournemouth and Watford having billionaire owners doesn't really hold much weight considering pretty much everyone in the Premier League has a billionaire owner but, historically, Bournemouth and Watford are smaller clubs than plenty of the teams below them and have lower gate money than Newcastle, Sunderland, Villa and probably Norwich and maybe Palace.

It's Rangers kids. Not one player with any league experience while we have Jesus, Docherty and Redmond. And the liability that is Tena has just been sent off once again so that's another suspension for him.
