In my 25 years watching the Accies , I would have to sat that Jim Weir was the best ever player closely followed by Kenny Ward.

looks like its between McCarthy and neil, before the vote cleared big marko had 2 votes surprised he's not had a shout.

Jim McLean for me.(Long time ago,mind you.)

McCarthy for me , one of the best ever individual displays v Motherwell at NDP , 2 goals , ran the show and a goal line clearance .
Has gone on to show all the potential he had .

I would have to agree that McCarthy has gone on to be the best player who once played for us.

But the best player for us? He wasn't the best player in the Accies team he played in, far less of all time. Most weeks he was outshone by Marko, Neil and McArthur.
