What constitutes a "real fan"

Postby GlasgowRed » Tue Jan 26, 2016 9:38 pm

So after numerous statements from the board in recent weeks about people not being real fans.

In your own opinion, what makes a "real fan"

Would love to here your definition! As a forum user who has banded this term from time to time.

I can state what is clearly not a real fan. my Dad been watching accies with a seasion ticket for over sixty years, drove to Glasgow every game when we did not have a ground. He has now decided to stay away and then gets classed as not a real fan by the owner.

At least Jim Watson had the excuse of being drunk when he came up and slapped you in the face!

A real fan is someone who cares about the club and wants the best for it and that is not Mr Canning. Thankyou.

I am a 3rd generation Accies fan, who falls into the category of not attending every single game, the past 30 yrs.

Does this mean, I am not a real fan?

Various reasons for this, family & work commitments, etc...

Like all Accies fans, I have experienced umpteen emotions, good & bad, and that's just been this season, but, at the end of the day, I will be an Accies fan till I die....hopefully for, at least, another 30 yrs.

I have followed and supported Accies for 34 years and have seen them play at every ground in Scotland.I even attend pre season friendlies. But I am not a fan of the board or the manager and I want him out. I would also like (and I know nobody is waiting to)someone who is an Accies fan to buy the club and have it run by supporters.
Are the happy clapping brigade trying to make out that Colin McGowan has the football club at heart.McGowan is a self proclaimed non football fan.
But apparently I am not a REAL fan according to Les.

I can remember a rather rough looking bloke at oban with a black dog at oban and mind the dog doing its mess on the park. I would say a real fan is a fan who gets behind the team and backs the BOD. Nothing worse than a glory fan.

A real fan is someone who tells the BOD to get to fuck cos they are more interested in charity, lining their own pockets, courting publicity, sucking up Celtics arse and no having signed half a team of replacements in the first week of the transfer window. They also tell Canning he'll never make a manager, give him stick for having his hands in his pockets, folding his arms, no shouting enough and no playing 442 then no playing 451, and no bringing D'acol on and then starting D'acol cos he's now pish just like Morris.
A real fan will get on the players backs from the first bad pass, Cannings back from kickoff and BOD for putting Canning in the job in the first place. If you don't agree with all this then you're clearly nothing but a happy clapper.

The ones who believe that everything is rosie are the exact ones that only go to home games and never venture to away,a bit like Colin McGowan you could say and Alexander the Great sounds just like him.
