We already have an advisor les but in all seriousness unless we have a strong character in charge capable of making his own desicions and standing by them then we are in trouble long term even the progression from 20s team is being held back as no real link now like we had with Alex and Frankie

1 win in eleven and no home wins since September. Martin is living off results gained in the first 2 months of the season. Potentially today he had to drop the park the bus tactic and even then 10 men beat us.

Not that his record as a manager is utter gash, he is Stripping the confidence out of the player and the price of Crawford must be dropping like a stone. This must piss off the BOD as how else will they line their pockets and feed their pirates!

Definition of turning around

What is Les Greys yard stick on Canning turning it around? Results have been better but has he turned it around?

Don't know where you read that but in the Record he says you can't pin all our troubles on bad luck.

Canning has, to a certain extent, turned around the almost total slump of December & January but the minimal improvement into some draws looks unlikely to be enough. And yet the horrendous form still sees us still clearly in the fight to stay in the league at this late stage, something many people said would not happen and we would be relegated by Christmas.

He has been living off the results of August and September for months and doesn't look remotely able to recreate that form or even set up a team in remotely that formation any more; compounded by wasting money in January - money we don't have. However, our previous advantage has now gone and there is now little room for manoeuvre, particularly against fellow strugglers. Likewise, working hard, effort and bad/good luck are not really relevant anymore - its all about results.

That said, Accies are still fighting to stay up and I will support them all the way.

2 wins in 20 odd matches, no win at home in nearly 6 months. The united win was as lucky a win as you will ever see and the killie win was narrow, perhaps fortunate, with a goal from a set piece. Thro in the Celtic humiliation and the Annan catastrophe and that is what we have had since the 'halcyon' days of September. Teams seen thro Canning that much he had to park the bus and now teams with 10 men etc can see thro that as well.

However, through a crazy season in this division we are still fighting to stay here. Or rather we should be fighting to stay in this league. That is what most of us were expecting but whilst the table shows we are still in it, I don't know anyone who would describe us as 'fighting' to keep our top flight position. I also don't know anyone who doesn't think our core of 11-14 players should not be competitive in this league. Instead we are trying to kill games and catch teams with perhaps the odd goal and jump from 5 at the back to 3 up front like we are allergic to a conventional and functional midfield.

PS Canning doesn.'t know why we cant win at home. Well there are a few fans have some kind of idea and if he doesn't know then how does anyone expect him to solve this?

Canning has to do the decent thing and go.
Yesterday was the last time I personally will be back till he is gone.
Playing hoofball and negative from minute 1 yesterday sums the guys management tenure up perfectly.

"If the fans were being short-changed and we were getting battered from pillar to post, then you could understand it. But the boys are out there giving their all, and on another day we would have won the game with the chances we created."

Does this clown actually realise how disingenuous he sounds, wheeling out the same old clichés week after week?

When will this "other day" come? We've been waiting months for "another day" when we will win. It means nothing. And to say that it's a "small section" of fans who are critical of his performance is sheer arrogance.
