What a impresive list which highlights how poorly some parts of our club is run.
Some poster like to shout but we have 1200 fans no money we can't get known players as we can't afford them!

I would counter that our board bring players in to feed their egos. Every player on that list would be on a wage and would have needed sevrance pay.

Take 5 random names add the wage and pay off together and that would be enought for one good player.

But you can't find a hidden gem that lines the pockets of the BoD that way! Also if you want good players you need a good manager! Good managers don't get shit players thrust appon them.

There lies the problem of where we are today!

Goodness! Who are some these individuals. I suppose the next list is those that have featured the first team but have not made an impact e.g. Nigel Hasselbank second time around (never really fit) and D’Acol although its still to early to call that one. He may yet get game time. And Kurakins of course, although he has made an impact but of the negative kind

It's an interesting list but misleading in terms of "dud signings" as 13 of the players listed were / are youth team players. You've also got 2 goalkeepers in there who were brought in as 2nd choices so no great surprise that neither got much game time.

The other thing the list seems to prove is the Accies transfer policy has improved of late as out of those who remain on the list only 1 was signed in Alex Neil's reign (Lee Lynch) and only 1 during Canning's reign (Nico Sumsky).

Undoubtedly Accies would like a better hit to miss ratio but they are by no means unique in this respect and it would be interesting to see a similar list from Dundee United (particularly this season), Ross County (last season) and Celtic (over the last few seasons). Part of the reason is the strength of English football has all but closed off that market which was traditionally less of a risk with players being able to go down several levels of the English league system and still earn more than most SPL teams can offer. Additionally the declining standard of Scottish football means that English teams are increasingly reluctant to allow loan players to come here, preferring league 1 & league 2 or even their own youth leagues. Finally a Scottish Championship with Rangers, Hibs, Hearts in it has also made Accies less attractive to lower league Scottish players.

So it basically leaves trying to find a flawed diamond which can be polished from the vast amount of European players offered by agents. There will be successes and failures but certainly no guarantees.

Good point about Lynch being a good signing that we let go out of badness. His record since leaving us proves that......

If you are referring to the fact that on his return to Limerick they were relegated, I think you have to be slightly charitable re his role in that. The 2015 Irish season kicked of in March 2015, Limerick then played 16 games drawing 5 and losing the rest. Lynch signed on the 3rd of July for Limerick after leaving us and in the subsequent 16 remaining games Limerick won 7 and drew 3 before losing over 2 legs to Fin Harps in the play offs. Reading some of the match reports Lee’s performances were positive but the damage was done long before he returned. The Limerick new release cites injuries and change of manager at Hamilton for his release by us. Who knows but he was clearly an alex signing and presumably martin didn’t fancy him. Would he have made it if given a run of games? We have no way of knowing but in terms of his contribution it was a dud signing.

Gary Mason certainly played more than you are suggesting and you havn't even touched the sides when it comes to a full list of peculiar or dud signings over the years.

My two favourites were Salvador Chamorro and Ryan Harper.

To be fair, for this discussion to be meaningful, we would need to compare Accies' signings with those of other clubs with similar resources.
