Gillespie never put a foot wrong and was good for me. He could have moved the ball a wee bit quicker at times but he never gave Thistle a sniff all day. Longride and Imrie were poor today - possible not helped by being asked to move in the park a bit after the red card; Louis has made a career of missing one on one with the keeper chances.

Longridge is ok, but can't shoot and we need our wide midfielders to score.
Gillespie is consistent and hard working. I considered him for MOM yesterday as he was solid (if uninspiring) throughout.
Kurtaj should start ahead of Longridge.
I'd like to see Docherty in the midfield alongside Gillespie and Crawford.

Personally I like Longridge. His energy is great and he has pace. He doesn't hide and is good at digging in too. He misses a few chances he should score but in the wide areas he's an asset. Gillespie is always going to divide opinion as he gets the dirty jobs to do. Again I rate him, as much for what he does without the ball as when he has it.

Gillespie is pish! Has the odd game where he shows his potential but he consistently gives away possession with wayward passes or getting the ball stuck between his feet and getting robbed. He's been here long enough but he hasn't improved. Longridge made a couple of nice runs but for the most part carries no real threat. He's not ready for this level. It's. harsh because I like both lads but they're pish and Canning needs to drop them to the bench.

Gillespie has the odd good game but frequently undoes any good work with a terrible piece of play. Too inconsistant but we have no one better to take his place at the moment.

Longridge is a Sunday league player at best.

Gills was a solid performer for a period, during the Championship season and first half of the last season. He really flourished under Neil but has fallen apart without him. One of the most dramatic changes in the squad I think.

Longridge's best moment was his boxing day goal against Airdrie. After that it's all been downhill. How he continually got subbed on in the latter half of last season and gets a start today is beyond me.

Lost count of how many times the ball went wide to Longridge and Thistle got a throw-in from it .

He gives his all but if we are to have any hope of staying up we require better .

Has LL ever scored a 1v1 with a keeper?

Gillespie looked decent enough today, and across the season so far, and for last season.

Hey I started this thread.

Saturday saw Gillespies best game ever in an Accies shirt.

Hope it continues. Congrats young man.
