Great day and if the suns out even better if not there's a small stand in the main park, games are played over two pitches within a minutes walking distance.

Get to see the players up close and any guys on trial, games are 20 mins each way (if I remember correctly) also a club house which serves burgers drinks etc...

Easy enough to find just remember your tent poles............. cough cough (Tatty)
If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

Last time I was in Oban in 2004 it was like a hurricane, in july! weather forecast looks better this year.
Are any buses running from the club or is that a stupid question?

Got talking to Les yesterday and he said that the club have been really active getting players in and that he was delighted with the quality of players. He also said that we will announce the signings soon as they don't say anything till everything is confirmed. He seemed genuinely excited about the season ahead and came across as a decent guy. Before i'm accused of being a happy clapper or a pal of his, i've never met him before, just thought i'd pass on what he said.

Les is already on record as saying that he is responsible for the signings so he can hardly say anything else can he  Anyway the jury is out still some more to come by the sound of it.

There was no Redmond, Sumsky & Longridge - McGovern was there but not in the playing squad. The trialists were Kurakins, Nade and the german midfielder.

How did Nade look?
I love the fact 'the german' doesn't seem to have a name.

Nappy we will likely not get back due to the moronic behaviour of some fans last year, they just waste everything for everybody else you would think they would know better.

Yeah, there was some real morons there. It's a great day out where you can mingle with the players and fans from all clubs, but some of our fans were blind drunk and started a really obscene chant about the Hearts owner while staggering about on the hill above the pitch, all of this in front of families with kids just trying to enjoy what is supposed to be a family friendly day out.

It is a great day and we met and chatted to Mrs Budge who was a very nice lady but yes there were some morons who couldn't hold their liquor.
