Club Communications

Always been a major weakness at the club under the current regime.

The latest '£300k on a pitch and floodlights', 2 years after laying the thing and only months after talk of a dome etc; surely we deserve more than that bland statement issued by the club so far. It doesn't look like the promised forum will be held anytime soon but Les can be interviewed and it put online (like the post match stuff) at any time; so no real excuse.

I disagree

"These works can be summarised as follows:

1) An upgrade to the main pitch will commence with TigerTurf’s latest innovative product which is specified to FIFA’s highest standards specifically created for stadium use.
2) The existing TigerTurf Total Turf 6O XQ pitch will be re-laid on our seven-a-side pitch and ancillary smaller training areas.
3) The floodlight system will be upgraded to provide greater illumination to the pitch and training areas."

i think that it's important that we keep up with the latest/best artificial pitch technology.

Donating what is left from the original pitch to the council is a great PR move too

How about a "PR move" of signing some decent players?

The way it looks they would rather spend £300k on padded, gold seats for Junkies than on spending it where we need it......on the team.Seems to be all quiet on The Dome front also,is that now to be shoved by the wayside?

Communication wise it would be interesting to know what has happened to the ‘charity' office occupying the former Accies shop and know the home of a Turkish barber perhaps they fell behind with the rent ! An opportunity to put the accies shop back where it was and ask the fans to run it for the club 8-)

Nothin direct about Accies - just defending artificial pitches in general. He was vociferous in his defence and as always is entertaining- would be nice to hear from him being so straightforward about us, where we are, what we have achieved, the facilities and where we are going.

He was asked if AN getting to the EPL would bring in more money and said that was confidential - which is perhaps a yes?

I was over in Motherwell town centre and all along the shopping area is boards advertising a Q&A session with the new chairman. Motherwell obv quite keen to get fans to come and ask questions. It's all good and well going on radio shows, doing 5/10 minute pieces here and there but organised something so the accies fans can actually ask questions and get answers to. Proud of accies as a good community club who give youth a chance but when it comes to fans and communications they are a bit of a joke. And I constantly bang this drum but the website is a disgrace!!!!
