It would make being a fan hellishly expensive.

Can you imagine the cost of transporting large numbers of fans' spouses, coupled with the shooping expenses?

So mnay wives/husbands would see a European fixture as recompense for losing husbands/wives on a Saturday afternoon.

All we can do is hope for a team from some Romanian hell-hole that none of us want to visit.

I wonder if there's a similar thread on a Romanian fans' forum?

When queen of the South got into Europe as cup runners up the Club chartered a plane for their away tie in Copenhagen and offered places to fans on it to help pay for charter. the Danish club laid on a barbecue for visiting fans and a grand day out was had by all. So I imagine accies doing the same. ;)

Remember its not out of the question,

I think we have a better squad then when st Johnstone went on their wee European Tour!

We could do what they have done - it wasn't that long ago they were in the championship/Div one.

When Ross County finished 5th in their first season up, they were in 10th place after nine games. They had an amazing mid season run of 11 games unbeaten including 8 wins. Hopefully we don't have that season in reverse. I would say 3rd-5th is definitely achievable.

I've been to most of our games this season and do far Celtic are the only team we've faced whom you can say had better players than us...but we still played well, rode our luck and nicked a win.
If we can keep this going we are in for the most astonishing season ever!

Ronnie has promised free remedial spelling lessons to any fans that want them, but only if we actually get into Europe.

Well what if we got paired with a team with lots of fans - aka ludogrets? for example? maybe we would need a proper stand?

To compete in Europe we will need more experienced players in, YOU CANT EXPECT TO GET THROUGH with youngsters in Europa League!

lol - had to read it twice to get it.

If we do make it into Europe, lets hope we're not playing a team from Liechtenstein!

The class would be full!

I can't believe I'm actually going to post this, but here goes ...

- if we finish 2nd or 3rd in the league, we go into the Europa League first qualifying round, the games of which are on 2 & 9 July

- if we win the Scottish Cup, we go into the Europa League second qualifying round, which is on 16 & 23 July

- if we win the league, we go into the Champions League second qualifying round, which is on 14 & 21 July

I need to go and lie down now.

We can but dream just now, Scott, but should it happen then those of us who stuck with the team at Cliftonville and Firhill will no doubt meet in some foreign land (and bar) :D. Be prepared to be ripped off by Ryanair however, if they get wind of any destination to which we might be going!! :(

Still early days, but plan, prepare then execute!!
