Mikeys upset that both he and Ziggy have not been rcognised at Scotland under 21 level, with all the experience that they have gained playing with Accies.

Have some sympathy with him, but more concerned about them playing well for Accies, which they are not doing consistantly just now.................

Think Ziggy was due a call up for the form he showed last season and prior to his injury this season, but on current form I dont think they merit it.

Alison Walker saying the same on Twitter, although Accies own twitter reply to her says that they are both too old for the U-21s!
Having just checked, they are both already 21, so will be too old for a tournament that doesn't commence until September.
Just had a look at the squad for the Hungary game Never thought I'd see "On loan to Welling United" against the name of one of our International players

When Ziggy and Mikey were still eligible, one of the players keeping them out was Stuart Findlay of Celtic. He's never kicked a ball for them but was out on loan to Morton last season. You might remember him as part of that formidable defence at the end of last season. Now on loan at Dumbarton and seemingly impressing but it really was a disgrace that Ziggy especially was overlooked. And yet Hendrie kept getting picked even when out of our side. Presumably the only reason he isn't in this squad is his injury.

Accies players get ignored by the SFA.

Sad, but true.

There must be a reason why ?

The reason is that the players are at accies. 4 months after he left, mcarthur was a Scotland player at Wigan. You can't tell me that he suddenly acquired that ability when he left the club. Same with McCarthy, who I understand, wasn't deemed to be good enough by A. Knox to be offered a Scotland berth, and when the Republic came knocking, hey, why not....

So is it because the folk at the SFA don't regard our club as good enough or is it a fall out at boardroom level ?

SFA consider Accies as a "small club".
It's as simple as that.

It's bullshit, but unfortunately true.
