Well, what do we think? Typical of our luck, Saintees finding a bit of form and winning their last three, including two against Motherwell. For once I'd have liked Well to win in the league game. Not a happy hunting ground for us. Will Rankin get his team selection right this week? Would like to see Tumilty back even though that will probably mean a back five. We've had wins with a back five but also had some farcical displays - first half at Morton, flukey draw at Kirkcaldy. Hope Robinson can make an impact and one of Bradley or McKinstry must play. I'll be there but not hopeful at all.

I don’t think we have ever went into a big Cup Tie with the fans on such a downer going into it.

Plenty folk I know and plenty others not going after the shambolic events of the last 2 weeks culminating in those nonsensical “words of wisdom” from Jock Brown and The Director of Football.

However, it is still a big game and I will make the effort inspite of the clowns running the show and will back the team but not the regime.

One month ago I would have been very confident of a result but they have picked up while-well we all know what has happened here.

Still not beyond the realms of possibility of us getting a result as there are guys in our squad as good as any of their players if they play to their potential.

1-0 defeat and YET ANOTHER goal scored against us in last 5 minutes. How many goals have we lost all season in last 5/10 minutes. To be fair the goal lost was unlucky, speculative shot from 30 yeards that deflected off St Johnstone player wrong footing Lyness

I am guessing Shaw and Tumilty and Albinson must have fallen out with Rankrotten as they were again missing from starting 11. Rankrotten maybe trying to show he is the boss

Only 273 Accies fans at game. I fully expect that figure to drop even more due to the toxic atmosphere at club.

Just one of the many who decided not to travel today, given recent performances.

Can we not see a game out? It’s all about game management, John, and that’s a lesson still to be learned in the dugout.

Regardless of how “unlucky” we were to concede (again) in the last five minutes, this collection of reasonably talented individuals have not been blended into a winning unit all season, and that falls on only one person’s shoulders.

We actually did ok today and but for a big deflection with less than 5 minutes to go we’d have taken a premiership side to extra time.

If Shaws 1 v 1 goes in the game could have been different. Definitely something for him to work on in training.

That said, in a ‘one off’ cup game we should be starting with our strongest possible eleven. In most fans opinion that would include Shaw and Tumilty. In my own opinion that should include McKinstry too, and you could argue the case for Henderson to be getting a start also.

Pleased to hear the support for Scott Martin, something I’d like to see at our next home game although that’s not till the 25th v Dunfermline and plenty support for Tumilty and Shaw while warming up.

Agree with this apart from Henderson. Does nothing more often than not.

Heading to the game and when the team lines were up, we were swithering whether or not to turn back.

The starting line up was a disgrace to all who travelled, but perhaps in Rankin’s mind, he wanted to bore them into submission before our best players were brought off the bench.

Start the team who finished-bar Henderson for Bradley and we could have won the game.

As it is, another what if.

To be honest I think if we had started with the team that finished we would have gotten beat heavily. The game really opened up once the subs were made which suited StJ more than us. I think the idea of keeping it tight for an hr before opening up a bit was right, if not pretty on the eye. Even then we road our luck and could have lost a couple of goals in each half.
