Hopefully a good 3 points for us tomorrow. Played well last week but next 2 games are huge against the bottom of the league and another team.arpund us.
Fingers crossed for another trouncing of our Lanarkshire rivals.

Has to be three points with a (hopefully) solid defence and a barrow load of goals to help our GD. Airdire don’t look to have improved since we last played them and cannot strengthen until the window opens next month, even if the have any funds for that, so we MUST be fully motivated to hit them from the off.

Remember we beat them about the same time of the year many moons ago at Broomfield (4-0?) with Danny McGrain in defence for us. Danny avoided a booking telling the ref that he had got there as fast as he could. Happy days.

We beat them 3-0 and 4-1 at Broomfield during Danny McGrain's season. Not sure if he played in the New Year one. Can only remember one goal from that game and it was a famous one. John Martin's goal kick landed at the feet of Gordon Scott about 40 yards out and he promptly chipped the ball over his head.

As has been said, a must win. Putting aside anger at the non- anniversary. They could partly redeem themselves by having players from the past appear at half time but that would require some effort and someone caring. I think this will be a close game, the game up there could easily have finished 3-5 or even 4-4. They played far better than the score line suggested. I'll say a 2-1 win.

Same approach and attitude as last week please. At them right from the off and let's get right behind the team.

Pressure is really on and the need for six points over the next two games is clear. Let's make sure the boys know we are with them and any anger or frustration the fans have at the moment is with those running the club

Smash and Grab at the end. Oli's miss at the start of the game looked to be costly late on, but we persevered, thankfully.
Now to Greenock next week where we SHOULD have enough confidence to go there and win. If O'Hara plays, then someone remind him to put on his boots next time!

A nerve wracking but quite entertaining afternoon. We have a very weak midfield without Kyle Macdonald but hard to argue he put out the best side available to him. Scott Martin was outstanding and the number of headers he wins for a little guy is amazing. Connor Smith a lot better too. Oli will get the headlines and can't argue as he's the division's top scorer. McKinstray was doing well and I've no idea why he was taken off. Felt a little flat at the end after O'Hara's two bad misses but such a vital win that gives us a nice cushion. At least we see plenty of goals in our games, 58 compared to Morton's 36.

Crowd was our best home turn out of the season but still just 1,050. We are put to shame by some of the other derby crowds, in particular struggling Queen of the South getting 2,702 v Annan, who only get about 300 at home. Virtually the same crowd at Arbroath v Montrose. And Airdrie brought far more than we took to theirs and they had only taken one point from their last ten before today!

A big three points! Pre game I’d have taken any sort of win no matter how it came about so a 90th minute winner in a derby match is most welcome.

More than anything, this game summed up our frailties at the back and in goal. We are good going forward and will score goals but teams cut the defence open too often and I’ve yet to be impressed with Albinson. It feels bad being negative when we have just won the derby with a last minute goal but these are the issues we need to address in January. I realise we have Owens, Kilday and McGowan out long term who would all play beside McGinty over Barry McGuire but we need to strengthen there until the end of the season at least.

Where we be without Martin and Shaw!!

Onwards to Morton where I feel we need to take something as the following week we are the Friday night game v Partick who are going well and we rarely play well on the telly.

Delighted with the win. My wife organised hospitality for my birthday, my son was a mascot and a last minute winner meant he won the sweep! Thanks to the guys who organised it and who were great with him throughout.

We are quick to criticise (myself included) accies for the things that they do wrong, but I must give a shout out to Gillian for everything she did/organised for us. It was a special day and one that neither my son nor me will ever forget. She went above and beyond for us and that’s something you wouldn’t get at every club. Days like yesterday make you very proud of our wee club and make it all worthwhile.

Without McDonald and McGuire in the middle of the park it left us a bit exposed at times, but no doubting we look a threat going forward again. No idea why McKinstry went off either, as I felt he was good throughout.

O’hara’s misses at the end though! The signing of shaw probably means the difference between us going down or staying up. Still, it secured the money for my son so he was delighted it stayed 3-2!

Morton game is going to be another big one.

Good highlights Good commentary.

IMO, video suggests Charlie had his angles all wrong for their second goal though. Our strikers won’t want to look at our two late misses

I thought the home support was better than usual with plenty lapsed fans in attendance.

Great singing support at times from Section A although those in the middle stand who start their own songs at times should have joined in as that was the quietest they have been I thought.

My main mission is to get well ahead of Airdrie in case somewhere along the line there is a Points deduction.

Those misses at the end showed why the Sub strikers should remain so.

Well done all-especially against our many critics on that Scottish Football Awaydays and Scottish Football Banter without the Old Firm pages who were being put in their place by Accies fans.

Great highlights, far better camera work now and excellent commentary. What a game Oli had, didn't realise he put in such a superb ball for Smith for the second. As for Albinson, not a glaring error for second, it was right in the corner but maybe in the " could do better" category. Excellent numbers in Section A. As for not joining in, I couldn't really hear what they were singing in the middle stand. I completely agree about the likelihood of a points deduction, I worry about it every day. Hopefully they made a bit of money yesterday and we must hope Thistle continue their good run at Cappielow in midweek and bring good numbers for the Friday night game.

In the end, just a relief to get the three points. We definitely could and should have scored more but Airdrie had a few good chances of their own.

Said before the game this was a win no matter how type game so job done and now we focus on the next must win game at Morton. In some ways losing the game in the last minute could damage Airdries confidence as much as a gubbing. Thought Tumilty put in a hell of a shift yesterday and he really looked fired up. Hopefully we can take a decent crowd to Morton and give the team a real lift. Games are coming thick and fast at the moment and our injuries will put a strain on the rest of the squad. (Although I still think we could trim some fat and off load a couple of players to free up some funds. We definitely have fringe players that could be moved on)

Also agree that our highlights package is improving greatly and have watched Saturdays game a few times tonight.
