Current view of team

Three points

1. I really struggle with O’Hara positioning. Play him in the right position or dont play him. We have Ollie , but O hard does not help him….

2. I am a fan of Henderson in Midfield……….but I struggle with our midfield. I dont thinks we control the game. The midfielder or a midfielder needs to drop to give an option to the defenders… Scotty M tries to do this but it is not his best skillset (he is not a playmaker)…. But we need someone who wants the ball and has confidence….. none of the other midfielders do this and this and so wee nd up passing along the back and always going wide and out RB and LB are not playmakers…but we have no option up the middle. The best example of this is Billy Gilmour… he always offers and always wants the ball…. So we need someone that can behave like that in the Championship.

3. I think we have become so predictable in how we play…. And that is a problem

Of all of the above #2 is our biggest issue….

Martin's improved a fair bit in terms of being the deepest lying midfielder but Barjonas, in theory, is supposed the more composed ball-player alongside him. That's worked in some games this season, but I agree that the lack of that sort of 'second phase' midfielder has been an issue since the start of last season. Tait didn't really work and MacDonald was and is too direct.

3 - 5 - 2

McGinty, Kilday, McGowan
Hendrie, Latona, Martin, Bonjoras, Tumulty
Henderson, Shaw

Do NOT waste your best asset by isolating him upfront on his own in a bloody different time zone.

Pls pass on to JR.

1. For me O'Hara does need a stint out the team to recharge the batteries. He was our best player last season in my opinion and he came back strong last season after some time on the bench. Its not surprising that he would need a rest concidering the ground he covers. I think if he comes back after a rest he can fit in, in a couple of positions.

2. The formation is my biggest concern and is not working for me. With the 4-3-3 (or similar type line up) we give up too much space down the wings, meaning we cant control the game as much in midfield and are open to getting punished.
A couple of examples - Against Falkirk they doubled up on our left and right backs as we had no supporting midfield cover. They absolutley destroyed us in the first half down the wings because of that.
In our last game against Morton, we were going nowhere in the game until we brought on two wingers and then bang, three goals!
I prefer us having width in the team and more bodies in midfield personally. A 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 or something similar may suit us better.
We need more support for Shaw and to start enjoying the game up front rather than overplaying and failing to get the shots off.

3. Agreed, too predictable and the patterns of play are not working in the current set up with the players we have.

Team will get my support regardless, but do think we need to try something new.
