Accies v Thistle

Surely we'll go with a sensible formation this time. I'd go with this:

Albinson ( if fit)

Olufunwa RB
Kilday CB
McGinty CB
Longridge LB

Martin
Maguire

Barjonas LM
Henderson RM
Smith AM

Shaw

It will be interesting to see if the u turn on PATG prices improves the attendance figures.

I know a fair few Thistle fans that were boycotting I also fully supported our fans that made a statement to the board by refusing to pay those prices. (I did not boycott myself as I have a season ticket) Hopefully a lot of those stay away fans will now be able to return and send a message to the board that the changes were badly needed.

We all accept that running a football club is very expensive, but so is following your team. Fleecing the punters was never going to generate anything other than a negative reaction. Pressure from the supporters groups of other clubs was needed to force the change. Unfortunately, this reaffirms the views of a lot of Accies fans that as we are small in number, we simply do not matter.

It is vital that the club reaches out to our fans now and that they give us an opportunity to support the club in more ways than just passing through the turnstiles. We all recognise that the acquisition of the stadium and the various changes that have to be made will require significant funding. However, driving fans away and generating negative publicity is not the way to attract investment.

If you can be there today, get behind the team and show the board the stadium needs fans in it!

No comments yet after a vital win? Not a great game. We go ahead then perhaps to be expected we sit back a bit. I'm not going to complain, I'd have taken a draw. I thought we had a few good performances but I'll pick Jackson Longridge for MOTM, barely put a foot wrong. Big McGinty good too, Kilday obviously and Deano for a great late save.

Thought today was a really hard fought win. We didn't create a lot but defended well and took what little chances we had. Thought McGinty did really well at getting his head to everything before Graham could..
He is the type of player we have missed recently, a big strong centre half in the old fashioned mode. A poor man's Marko.

Important win. Credit where it's due, the goal was well worked and it was great to see something that has came from the training ground pay off.

However, for me it was the keeper who won the points with a fantastic save at the end and it wasnt the only important save he made today Thought Thistle were awful and clearly in terrible form. Yet we still managed to make hard work of a game we could and should have won comfortably. Very pleased to get the three points but we again wasted far too many chances and sat in far too deep looking to defend a slender lead. Against stronger opposition, we could easily have seen another game where we threw away points after going in front.

Hopefully the last two results are something we can build on as momentum is everything. We have pulled away a little from the teams bellow us, which is the big positive from today

A hard fought, nervy win where the defence did their jobs very well indeed.

Barry Maguire-a player I previously not been overly keen on did well as did Longridge,McGinty, Kilday and Lyness.
