Oli Shaw signed. Decent, we badly needed another forward.

Looks interesting. 3 year deal too!

Also time for an update on who we have under contract for next season or beyond. Little point in looking at any of the official club sites for any information, so, fellow posters, what can we produce by way of a list of goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders & forwards?

I'm missing a few but here's what I've jotted down.
3 years - Oli Shaw, possibly Ben Williamson too.
2 years - Kevin O'Hara, Fergus Owens, Charlie Albinson, Barry Maguire, Steven Bradley, Sean McGinty, Cian Newbury
1 year - Euan Henderson, Connor Murray, Dean Lyness

Hope you missed a good number, SC. A squad of 12 players seems a little light for a serious challenge in the quest for Premiership football this coming season

. Tumilty not mentioned so far.
And, of course, little by way of news from the Club. Why do we still come back, yea on year???

Probable squad as it stands(apologies if I have missed any players out):

G: Lyness, Albiston

D: Tumilty, Longridge,Hendrie,Owens,Kilday,McGowan,McGinty, Newbury

M: McDonald, Hewitt,Martin, Barjonas, Williamson, Latona,Maguire

W/S: Murray, Bradley,Morgan,Henderson, Kalala ,Shaw,O’Hara

Not sure about Joe McGlynn as no news anywhere but I do know Livingston have Andy Winter training with them, Marley Redfearn to Clyde, Fulton to Hearts and Jamie Hamilton/Jake Hastie on trial at Ayr United…not forgetting the sad loss of Lewis Smith.

Well, YOH, your 24 names seem to show some depth for a Championship challenge to at least survive, if not push for a play-off place. Can't imagine we have the financial resources to be recruiting any more players.

Don't see any loss in Andy Winters going, along with all others. Smithy was always a nearly consistent man, and was certainly looking good at the end of last season, but no-one is indispensable these days, so Accies move on from his departure.
Who knows, we may have a Championship winning outfit from those listed above in YOH's post  :)

No, he's been released. I'm surprised no one has commented on the awful news that Fergus Owens is going to miss the full season. Just as he was starting to look like a first pick. Hopefully he'll come back and take up where he left off but it must be hard to lose a year of your career. We clearly need a new signing in defence. Some have suggested Cian Newbury but he's very slightly built and I think he would get bullied in this league. Anyway, he was impressing at Dumbarton as a defensive midfielder and I think that's probably the position where his future lies.

Nikolay Todorov signs. Just read this morning that he'd surprisingly been allowed to leave Airdrie and thought he was bound to go to one of our rivals so pleasantly surprised to read this tonight. In his last four main championship seasons he's scored 10, 12, 11 and 10. Any of those numbers will do me fine.

A 6ft 3" striker playing up front with Kevin O'Hara??? Wow. Club showing ambition with this signing. Great Expectations then :P

However, he's been around a number of clubs in the last few seasons, so let's hope we keep him supplied with scoring chances in the weeks and months to come.

I really don’t understand the Todorov signing and really felt our money should have been going to another position? Our budget must be huge again and with the way Seref is running the club it is surely not sustainable. If he decides this play toy is no longer for him we are going to be absolutely ruined.

Daire O'connor now signed as well, attacking mid/winger. Can't really remember him from his Ayr days.

We really need to shore up the defence as they are all slower than a week in jail

Signed for Ayr and immediately goes on loan to ek to get match fitness. Are we due a development fee for him? Had heard a while ago that was the reason he hadn’t signed for Ayr despite being there since pre season as they didn’t want to pay the development fee to accies or they were debating the fee.

Connor Smith back for the rest of the season and, also on loan from Perth, centre back Oludare Olufunwa, who was at Liverpool before Saints.

What a signing Connor Smith is. He’ll be a stand out in this league.

We have all had a go at the board for a lot over the last few months but they deserve a lot of credit for this one.
