Player Shirt Sponsorship

Postby accie » Sun Oct 15, 2023 7:04 pm

Noticed the sponsorship of the players strips this year has been very slow. Many first team players still have no sponsor for home and /or away kit.
How would people feel about sponsorsoring a kit, either first team or one of the young lads? Fiver each or whatever you can afford in multiples of 5 and then raffle it to one of the sponsors at the end of the season.
Surely we could raise £300 on here.

I didn't know we still did this, where did you see it? Normally it would be in the programme but we don't do one anymore.

It's poorly advertised on the website and the player pics have the sponsors name below.

One of the reasons I haven’t done this since Greg Docherty, there’s no benefit to the sponsor other than getting the shirt, as no one knows that you’re doing it.

Agreed , if you're doing it as a company then people need to know. A lot of clubs, including EK at the weekend, read out the sponsors name when subs going on off etc. Something we need to improve on.

Almost 400 views but no-one willing to put up the price of a pint to help the club?
