End of season fans meeting with board/manager

Postby Accies4ever » Sun Mar 01, 2015 12:12 am

Does anyone know if the club intend to hold a meeting (perhaps immediately after the last home game of the season), with the fans and the board and manager?

They've had one the last few years

Preferably on a Saturday, so we're not rushing home after a midweek game.

If they are, think it might be a heated affair, but worth while if the board can answer what's gone wrong (in their eyes) and more importantly, how are they going to fix things.

they lucked out with Neil they've got the right idea about not spending daft money because it's not sustainable, however we've been punching above our weight for some time and it will be test for the board to see if they can turn things around

I actually prefer Snickers, to Topics

I think now, more than any other season this meeting has to take place.

Why more than any other season? OK, they may have blundered appointing Canning and not signing some experience, but the last 12 months have been a fantastic time to be an Accies fan and the board are due a lot of credit for it. Football fans are a fickle lot but i find all this hysterical negativity towards the club really depressing. The team is in a real rut at the moment but some of the abuse dished out yesterday to players who only a few months ago were providing us with some fabulous football made me ashamed.

I think that may be the point - why are they not doing it now?

It looks likely that we were being managed by a true coaching talent; his record this season with us and Norwich seems to suggest that.

For me we have lost the 4 people at the club who were the hardest to replace - Alex, Frankie, Tony and MAC - all for different reasons but the hardest to replace nonetheless.

Success has been enjoyed and mistakes made - we should be supporters in the former as well as the latter.

For all that's been said above, surely a clear the air meeting for the board/manager to discuss the 2nd half of this season, is vital.

Fingers can be pointed and accusations made, but by far the most important aspect of that meeting will be how we correct the mistakes made since the New Year.
