Kelty away

Well, at least we know now how to get into the ground as an away fan. Don't go anywhere near their main entrance. Keep on the main road to somewhere and you'll maybe see a wee sign saying away fans on the right hand side of a fence. This leads you out of a lane/wee road into open rough countryside where the Away turnstiles are. QR entry codes very high tech in comparison to that.

Clearly an ex-Junior ground and not a lot of height in the stand seats to get a good overall impression of the play. However today we huffed and puffed until a triple substitution of One, Henderson & Lewis Smith paid off in 60 seconds with a well taken goal from Tumility, after a sweeping passing move from all three subs to find Rhegan in the clear to slot home. Ryan One scored another good goal within 10 Minutes. Loads of shots at goal throughout. Game Over!

Great confidence builder today for all who played.

Enjoyable first trip to Kelty. Was very worried beforehand but I needn't have been, it was 2-0 going on 4. Very good play at times in first half and we would've gone in one up were it not for an amazing block from ex-Accie Kyle Gourlay from point blank range, possibly from Tait. Started second half poorly and Rankin had to do something. He made the obvious changes and we scored within a minute it seemed. Excellent move across the field from One and Lewis Smith, putting it on a plate for Tumilty who fairly smashed it home.

Second goal came when Henderson picked the ball up within shooting distance but instead he played in Lewis on the right side of the box. He took a touch past the defender and drilled it across for big Ryan who slotted home. We saw it out well after that. Murray stung the palms of Gourlay with a twenty yarder. Ref was pretty shite and Scott Martin got booked. For me, Tumilty was probably MOTM, with Longridge and Kilday not far behind. But the men of the last thirty minutes were definitely One, Lewis and Henderson. Good support, even if a couple of the very drunk ones shouted a couple of daft comments at 0-0. Looked 300 but club reckons around 270.

Just Bonnyrigg Rose to complete for me now,so a no brainer for either of the cups.

Today showed the importance of a strong bench and all three subs who came on and made the difference would start for any other side in this League.

Conor Smith in attendance although he said his future is not up to him,but here's hoping it is with us.Big Josh McDonald slotted in well, another clean sheet,a good away support across three sides of the ground and the Kelty fans in their Social Club were a good bunch-unlike like their enemy Cowdungbeath.

Still think we need a physical focal point up front a la a young Jason Scotland.

It's Josh O'Brien. McDonald is the young lad we sold to Leeds. He did very well yesterday. I hope he keeps his place and Longridge remains at left back even when Hendrie is back. Hendrie puts in great crosses but overall Jackson looks like a better fit.

Some positive indications that this team are starting to gel. Thought we played some decent football yesterday, but with little threat of scoring. Subs made an instant impact with two great goals.

Hope we are seeing the return of the player smithy is capable of being. Chiped in with a good few assists now. Been hard watching his poor run due to an obvious lack of confidence. Feels like the new recruits have contributed to a change of culture in the squad and we look to be playing with real belief.

Upwards and onwards with hopefully a good run of results building momentum.
