Progress

Postby porcupine » Sun Aug 06, 2023 10:05 pm

It's clear from many posters that we've seen significant progress from the rubbish we watched last season, even with only a few games played. It's early days but we've created far more chances in the games to date, than almost all of last year's campaign. Let's not be too harsh at this stage as many of our new squad are still getting to know each others style of play. We DO have to be more clinical in finishing opportunities to score but that will come.

Cove was a good test for us as they proved impossible to beat last season, and should be one of the bookies favourites to go back up. With more patience from us as supporters, this group of players look to have the ability and depth to blend into a promotion winning unit.

It's Rankin's squad now, and his signings, so let's back the team to our fullest. Roll on our first visit to Kelty Hearts :D

Agree with the above. Think if we can win a game by two or even three goals over the next few fixtures, this new look squad will get the confidence boost they need to go on a positive run. Early days but feels like once they gel as a group they have real potential.
