The long awaited statement.

Absoloute garbage. Most as expected, no real change and the only winer is our rat of a landlord. Les Grey and Maitland leaving will make no real difference. All smoke and mirrors and no answers. We need real change not fake.

What were you expecting? McGowan owns the stadium, not sure of its worth but doubt there will be anyone interested who has enough money to purchase it from him.
Change of ownership of the club was the best fans could hope for and have now got. Ronnie etc did a great job 20 years ago but their time was up and we needed new blood and fresh ideas. Hopefully the new CEO will give us that, time will tell..

Was expecting what we got, does not mean it is what is needed. The longer this was dragged out the more pointless it became. This will not be the catalyst for change, do you expect an increase in season tickets now?

Regarding change of ownership, what has changed? Different name, business as usual.

So its as you were. As long as McGowan holds stadium rights we can never move forward

What does Seref get out of this, apart from his name on a piece of worthless paper

We have a new owner on paper, the wording of the statement suggests nothing changes. I really hope its a new dawn but cant see it.

You could apply this to the owner of most clubs in Scotland tbf.

He's passionate about football and is up for spending some of his hard earned on us. The summer signings show this.

Give the man a chance - he can't purchase a stadium that isn't for sale.

He will recieve the backing of the fans, and i have already praised the transfer activity. Many of us fear he is pi#@ing into the proverbial. The frustration is a statement to tell us what we already knew was happening. Fanfare anouncement for what should have been confirmed weeks ago. NO answers as to how debt has been "cleared", what the changes mean,When is the strip launch, how are we promoting season ticket sales........

I understand your frustration. But now the takeover is complete we need to draw a line in the sand about the failings and tin pottedness of the previous board, and judge Zengin's Accies from today.

He appears to be an open and honest commentator so maybe we will get those answers in time.

Support the new guy but keep more than an eye on you know who would be my approach.

Agree though, we (I) also need to focus more on any positives (hope there are plenty).

The Football Club's balance sheet @ 30 June 2022 showed Creditors of £238870 due to be paid within one year (30 June 2023, Three weeks ago) AND other Creditors of £1198897, due from 30 June 2023.

Today's statement only confirms TRADE creditors have been paid in full. There's not enough detail in the Football Club's accounts to show what sum was Trade creditors and what other Creditors there were. Can't imagine that £1.4 Million of debt has been paid off in this change of ownership, so the 2023 accounts that we wont see until next year, will be most interesting.

Meantime, all the best to the new owner, and completion of his vision for success on and off the field for HAFC. Just hope the lease deal for the stadium is not too onerous!

Of course he could. All he has to do do is work out the price. Negotiate. Get the deal done. Get McGowan out fully. Get the stadium back into ownership by HAFC. Until then, nothing has improved.

HAFC have never owned the stadium. We've rented it from the stadium company from day 1.
