New/old announcer

Postby TerracingTomas » Fri Jun 23, 2023 11:03 am

And just like that he’s back. From Shields’ Twitter feed

Klaxon alert!!!!

Some of you may well know that I gave up announcer role last November.

I have so missed the job.

Tonight I am delighted to announce my return.

Monday 3rd July for pre season vs TNS is my comeback.

Let’s go Accies

As one of the consistent critics of the cringingly embarrassing "performances" we have had to suffer most of last season from the "funny-man", thank feck for ANY change for the better. Recognising the correct numbers on players shirts AND knowing how to pronounce at least our own players names would be a huge improvement.

Deo Gratias.

My ask is this. Can we turn down the music please? Great to have lively music at half time but we come to the football to also talk to our friends. So unbearably loud all season

That's a really good point, too, Monkeybones! Hopefully they take that on board as its impossible to converse with friends at half-time.

The good news just keeps on coming. The guy that has been doing is has been terrible and embarrass. Starting to look more professional across the board this pre season.

Agree with the comments about lowering the volume.

Another big thumbs up for this!

The slavering clown we had to endure was unbareable and a symbol of everything that has been wrong with Accies. Shambolic amateur and a total reputation damaging embarasment. Agree with the volume comments too, we want to hear what is being played / announced but want to have a blether with our mates too.

Keep sweeping with this new broom accies! Just make sure the biggest problem is swept away too please!

As one of the regular critics about the embarrassing previous announcer, I am delighted to record that the return of the professional stadium announcer is welcomed by me, and all regulars around me too!

It's at least one positive step that the Club has taken since the start of the new season. Keep up the good work, nameless one!
