Mcgowan has left the building----or has he

Postby smc4761 » Sat Jun 17, 2023 3:48 pm

What do you make of this ?

Without knowing the specific details, eg does he still own the right to the ground, looks like it could be same old same old, with him still pretty much scuppering any chance of club moving forward

Not enough info yet smc to call it one way or another. I think it’s a safe bet that he remains owner of the majority share in the stadium. He might have handed over the shares in the club but the fine print could still somehow leave him calling the shots. I assume on Monday there will be a big announcement from Serif Zengin telling us he’s in charge hopefully not with a photo of him in the tunnel with his arms folded. Let’s wait and see.

Please, please, please cut all ties and get so far TF away from not just us but football in general! If it means he really is gone, relegation could be the best thing to happen to us in years. Still not convinced he wont keep his grubby claws into us in some capacity though. If he does retain ownership of the stadium, will any of the side show garbage stop though?

Dinnae be daft folks.
His claws are gripped into the building.
He’s successfully syphoned the stadium out of the club ownership.
He’s not left at all.
Nothing has changed.
We need a new broom.
Not the same old corrupt same old.
Get McGowan out fully. Only when the stadium is reconciled to the club will I be taking a season ticket. Until then, Sheriff Fatman can shove it.

1 week tomorrow this article came out. Silence from McGowan since, was hoping for some sort of update by now.

Was thinking the same thing at noon today, POL. Still not renewed season ticket until this is all confirmed as a done deal.

Wouldn't be surprised if any due diligence has uncovered a 'can of worms' and the whole thing collapses.

I’m assuming on paper at least it’s still going through. Whether genuine or not I remain to be convinced. Superficial things like changing the announcer, introducing an e ticket while welcome don’t mean he’s gone. The clear out of players and our advanced signing strategy are more significant suggesting our whole pay strategy may have changed. I’ve been checking company house regularly but no changes there. Mcgoofey is like Trump keeping him quiet is extremely difficult. Maybe he is in China trying to convince the other interested party to up their bd

As feared, looking like it was too good to be true. Call me battle weary but is there a chance all the positivity could be swept away? Surely even he realises there is a need for real change and he will never be trusted. We need to keep asking questions and pointing out the sheninagins. If you want to play at being a philanthropist do it somewhere else! We want a football club with a football stadium

Yet nothing on the official site, probably get an update there in about four or five days. You would think the site is not really for promoting the football club or something eh? Scunnered!

Judging by today's release from the club he has definitely not left the building.

Mcgowan must really think we are buttoned up the back...

Facebook post declaring that "Hamilton Stadium" owner Colin Mcgowan has bought 6 platinum season tickets... How fitting that this newly designed season ticket that hes bought allows you to sit in the board of directors seats...

Its so easy to see that he is still pulling all the strings and its just simply the usual biannual switch of board chess pieces..

Is this not just a trick Mcgowan always pulls?

Whenever the attendances drop, he fills seats with freebies to his own to make the place look busy. The platinum season tickets were never going to sell.

There has been real improvements made to our squad and we claim we are targeting a thousand season books. Should this not have been the focus in an effort to bring back all the fans who are scunnered and attract new ones?

On paper at least, we have what looks to be a really decent group of players that could make a real push for promotion. Instead, its all about the landlord again! Of course there will be those that claim its the fans who always talk about Mcgowan..

Wonder if he will be there on Sunday?

Cynical me was wondering if any real money went from the Stadium Company to the Football Club  No way of proving it, but I see the Cove ticket I bought on-line is shown against HAFC on my C/C.
