It must have given a Well fan real pleasure to type the word "oblivion". Couple of obvious things. It was one threat from a despicable person to Rankin's wife and it was online I believe. So not plural. And the cancer comment was about him being a "cancer at the club". But better that article than nothing, I suppose.

Just read it. A Motherwell fan, journalist or otherwise, didn’t feel the need to dig deeper as, quite frankly, he probably couldn’t have cared less. Why he had to even mention that he was a fan of the scumwell was an an apology that he gave no toss, from the very outset.
