Time/Cost of Away trips next season

Postby porcupine » Sun May 21, 2023 11:29 am

Looks like our derby game could be against Stirling Albion or Falkirk next season. It's likely to be
QotS V Annan
Kelty v FC Edinburgh
Alloa V Stirling/Falkirk
Cove v Montrose
Accies v Stirling/Falkirk

Google shows round trip mileages and time as
Alloa 68 miles 1hr 16
Annan 144 miles 2hrs 24
Cove 286 miles 5hrs
FC Edinburgh 100 miles 2hrs
Falkirk 60 miles 1hr 12
Kelty 84 miles 1hr 48
Montrose 226 miles 4hrs 18
QotSouth 130 miles 2hrs 30
Stirling Alb 58 miles 1hr 10

Total 1156 x 2 = 2312miles. Time to get your car serviced before the start of the new season?

Whether one can afford the 60 gallons of fuel cost, the gate money, and almost 24 hours/ 1 day out of your life in seeing all the away games is another matter. Welcome to Division 1

Looking forward, if that’s the right word, to the Montrose trip. I haven’t been there for years. Long before the new stand was built. Kelty will be a first and visiting ‘new’ Meadowbank for Fc Edinburgh should interesting.

Last time I visited Stirling Albion, it was Annfield with one of the first plastic pitches in the UK.
