Accies v Alloa

Postby TerracingTomas » Thu May 11, 2023 3:57 pm

Do we live to fight another day or will the squad decide it’s time for the season to end so they can return to their parent club and go on holiday, get transferred, get freed or hang around for a few trips to the seaside next season. If we lose will Rankin walk to be replaced by Easton or Daz or dare I say it Claude Anelka as I’m sure Mcgoofey still has his number. Will Strain emerge as a mystery buyer of the club for £1. Even in the unlikely sitution where we actually manage to beat Alloa, we will get humped Airdre. Lets just get this season out of the way
As for next season, get shot of Rankin, plus the majority of players are out of contract

Line up and attitude similar to the challenge cup final please.
To be honest we should have enough to beat Alloa but not if we set up as negatively as we did onTuesday.
It was a great turn out at Alloa and such a pity we didn’t perform.
No messing - just go for it!

On the cup final team, Redfern got injured and hasn't been seen since. Shiels hasn't kicked a ball since his cup final injury. He hasn't had a great season but he was playing throughout our run of ten points from twelve. Since that injury we've had Tumilty, Sparrow and now Mimnaugh playing out of position to cover his absence. Of course we do have an actual left back in young McGinn. Another person who played and played well during that run was De Bolle so why on earth is he now on the bench? I do not understand Rankin at all.

No De Bolle is truly baffling.

Redfern is fit again I believe but Connor Smith, who was cup tied for him.

De Bolle has not tried a leg for weeks. His effort level on Tuesday was pathetic.

We can confirm the semi-final first leg will be at the Indodrill Stadium, Alloa on Tuesday 9th May – kickoff 19:45 pm against Hamilton Academical. Season tickets are valid for the home leg of the SEMI-FINAL and FINAL should we progress. PPV will be available in the UK and Ireland for the home leg of the semi-final.5 May 2023

Just noticed this from Alloa's site on Google. How come season ticket holders are expected to pay for tomorrow's game at NDP? Another ploy from the CEO to raise income? Double Standards somewhere?

Remember folks The Stadium Bar is out of bounds tomorrow as they booked a First Communion without checking that it was the same date as the Play Off lol.

Vaults/Bar West will be arse cheek central,so best bet for a pre match Shandy is The Bay Horse or Peacock & Ivy.

Quote young Fergus Owens in the Record

“I would ask the fans to come down, give us all the support that you’ve been giving us all season, and we’ll give a bit back.“

Err does that include giving away a goal in 5 minutes

Alloa down to 10. Stanger off denying a clear gold scoring opportunity. Can we score 3 against 10 men?

The most shameful performance by an Accies team in my more than 50 years supporting and it’s not even half time.

Lanarkshire Live posting footage of the fans protest. If you listen to Chick Young on the BBC they were storming the barricades. Quite restrained given the circumstances IMO.

Watching Notts County v Chesterfield. Saw it was 0-2 v ten men part timers. Then I turn over and see two goals at once TWICE!!!

Three from open play apparently.

Seriously if we can’t beat 4th in the first division

Well I did say this before the play offs but after Tuesday and the first half hour today it seemed it was all over. A sending off and Alloa’s injury list have saved us helped by Winters and Zanatta finding their shooting boots. Can we repeat this against Airdrie, I hope so but I wouldn’t even try and predict the outcome.
