This is a relatively recent phenomena, but can anyone else think of former Accies players that then became Accies manager.

I count:
Billy Reid
Martin Canning
Alex Neil
Colin Millar
Chris Hillcoat
Billy Stark (who I think was interim manager for a very short while, 1 or 2 games)

Any others?

P.S.
Not included in that list is assistant managers, coaches, etc.

Martin Canning managed Accies for 9 winless games in season 2014/15.

Most fans have chosen to forget this dire period in what had been the Club's most successful top flight season in living memory - a top 6 place was virtually assured and even European football looked an outside possibility.

Whether Martin really wanted the job or was 'talked' into it by the Board has never been adequately explained.

Sadly, Martin went from being one of Accies' best players to leaving the Club and dropping out of football.
