Are we a breeding ground for successful managers and assistants

Graham Poter appointed Chelsea manager and Potters assistant BILLY REID, first-team coaches Bjorn Hamberg and Bruno, goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts and assistant head of recruitment Kyle Macaulay will join him at the Chelsea.

So with Alex Neil and Martin Canning also doing well down south, must be something in the water

With his seven figure salary, perhaps Badger would now like to consider buying out you-know-who? Great Tax Loss off-set for him against his Income tax at Brighton and now Chelsea (allbeit for a very limited timescale until Chelsea dump another management team). Suspect Potter/Reid & co will have secured at least three year contract at gazillions though.

Good luck to them, and I hope they bring their magic to yet another club.

Potter is reported to have secured a 5 year deal, Porcupine. Not a daft laddie so I suppose those who come with him are on similar timescales.

Come on!!!! Justify the rumour! £5M a year wouldn't surprise me, as Chelsea have always be profligate with their questionably sourced monies and TV income. Now if you knew what GP & BR were earning at Brighton, then a scaling-up would be perfectly understandable.

According to this Story Potter was on about £2 million a year at Brighton and Chelsea had to pay £15/20 million to buy out his contract. So even if Billy is on a fraction of whatever his quids in

Normally, you wouldn't leave a stable job at a club you love to go to that Shysters Paradise on The Kings Road, but if they are offering this life-changing money, then it is not exactly rocket science as down the line you will inevitably be sacked.

Cue Billy Reid buying out the club 2-3 years down the line and appointing James McArthur to his first Managerial role lol.

Couldn't be happier for Reid. He gave Accies a lot of good years as a player and manager. Glad he's made a very successful career for himself in the game!

Same goes for Neil and Canning too!
