2022/2023 season predictor

Postby smc4761 » Sun Jul 10, 2022 9:57 am

Just been over at the Pie and Bovril website looking at the comments on the 2022/2023 season predictor.

No surprises really on there with the vast majority predicting the demise of Accies and us finishing in bottom place.

To be honest that looks like a decent prediction. Or will this just give the team the incentive to say feck you to the prediction jut like we did in Premier League for 7 years

My prediction is also bottom

At the moment Morton look in a hell of a mess. Yesterday they fielded 11 on the park and only had ONE player on the bench. The pitch has been significantly narrowed and Imrie wasn’t consulted! He was interviewed by Chick Young before the game and sounded less than happy so something going on behind the scenes at Morton make them my favourite as things stand for the drop. Our squad is poorer than last year and is reliant on largely unproven yuf. We might make a couple more signings but hardly likely to be real quality. As things stand therefore realistically we will be struggling at the bottom. It’s very early, the yuf may flourish, Rankine may prove to be a motivational, tactical genius and the Board may spend the Ferguson cash, if there is any, in January if we are struggling to turn things around. But play off place looking possible. That’s at the bottom not the top

The fact everyman and his dog has us as relegation favourites illustrates precisely how far The Board have allowed us to slip as a club.

All of this of course was easily avoidable if they had approached the January 2021 transfer window correctly and we would not be in this mess.

Sadly,I predicted this back then and the only hope is that John Rankin gets a share of any Lewis Ferguson money if he goes to Italy as a few young boys coming in on loan may not be enough.
